We are not certain you put the seal in the correct direction.

Ok the seal has two sides , when you installed the seal did you see the side with the numbers or the side with empty space with the spring .

just to let you know you do not have to put together the clutch or variator to run the scooter . Just don't over rev it .
Try to put all of your problems into one post .

I had problems with Chinese carnal went through 2 of them. Then dug a little deeper and got a Keihin and a pod filter, the scooter woke up. It has a growl on mid to hard excellent. The Chinese carbs took 9 months between the two of them to go bad. The keihin is on there about two years trouble free.

did you check the cylinder walls ? If it was lean you cooked the piston 25 min at wot , that almost sounds like you asked for it . I would put a larger main jet in the carb and get it to run as rich as you can without proformance problems .

feast , I think your looking for trouble !!!! Changeing a harness is not that simple , then useing a used one . Sounds like a bad receipe . I would adding on and rewiring your stock harness maybe a better idea . Tackle one problem at a time . Start with the battery cables clean tight connections , then work the grounds good clean tight connections . If you have a bad component with a harness swap the problem will still be there , then who knows what other problems the new harness will come with .
I wish you luck take good pics for your self just in case .
