Welcome to the forum . We need to know at the very least the year of the scooter engine size and how many pins the regulator is . We can give some choices of what to do .

On the doc he said it is commingle from the speedometer area.

You must narrow down the short. Up plug things till the short goes away.

First off welcome to the forum. If your the kind of girl that is willing to dig in. With the help from us here you will do a better job fixing your scooter than the shop will. Please get a camera and take a pic of your scooter. Then give us the engine number, it is on the engine case behind the kick stand.
Tell us about do you own any tools and are you willing to try to fix your scooter?

Your very deep with the seal, I would have only gone flush. I would check at the 6oclock mark to see if it is cracked.

Pull the hose from the valve cover and blow into it it should be clear.
