Man I have spell that when I open my mail box it's just crammed full of useless junk mail, credit card this, buy that, you name it they send it. I don't know how the post office could be going broke with all the junk they send to people through the mail. But when it gets really bad I have a thing I do that for whatever reason seems to almost stop it. Take for instance the companies especially the credit card ones that send you a application to send back to them in the postage paid envelope. You know the ones that say "no postage necessary if mailed in the U.S." So one thinks that they pay postage on these return envelopes and if you throw it in the trash you just cost them 44 cents, right? Wrong! If you throw it in the trash it costs them nothing! BUT if you mail it the cost to them is 53 cents. So you might say well I don't want to apply for this credit card? OK so you can still have some fun and run the postage tab up for them and like I said when I do this it seems to help curve the flow of this useless mail to me. I wonder if they have some code on the envelope that let them know who it is from? What I do is mix and match. I'll put a blank application for a visa card in a AARP postage free envelope and visa versa. I just make sure my name is not on any of it. What I really love is to get questions about political issues from both parties and reverse them in the return envelope! ;D Just in a days fun and I sent out four 2 weeks ago and haven't had one since? ;D I verified this information through the local postmaster too. Once I got on a kick about all the damn cards that fall out of magazines. I seldom read a magazine any more so that was just a passing fancy! Seems a real shame that with the post office in such financial straights that those companies can send out junk mail for just about free (bulk or junk mail rates) when I have to pay .45 cents for a stamp, just got a book of 20 for $9 today. If they had to pay our rates the junk would disappear and the post office could better handle real mail.

I saw something on the internet a while back, decided it was too much fun not to try. I get a box, put a brick in it, tape the return envelope on the box and send it back to them. The post office loves it, they make plenty of money off it. Not sure entirely how legal it is, but it amuses me
