I just got back the POS Roketta. I have not had it to give a chance tinker with until tonight. So got brand NEW carb It is a Genuine CVK with the Kilhin(sp) logo on the side. Anyway I took it apart right away and checked the Diaphram and such before I installed it. Anyway got it warmed up rev it up a litttle bit it settled down then just started running like crap again. So I am going to Try doing a Valve adjustment on it again and try it one last time. If that does not take care of it the thing is 100% gone. Im done beating my head against the wall with this POS.

I'm going to be selling my scooter as well I think. I've been visiting the Kymco dealership off and on lately. The fit and finish of those scooters alone (and the lack of rattling as they go down the road) has been an eye opener for me. Kinda tired of this nonesense Chinese stuff. The fact that I can't find a stupid replacement master cylinder or rebuild kit right now is a good example. I'm taking mine into a shop today to let them deal with the stupid thing (if they even will.) Figure brakes are pretty non Chinese specific so maybe they'll agree to work on it. After it's fixed I'll ride it until the BMW dealership calls me and tells me that a Kymco Like 200i LX has arrived, then up on craigslist it goes! (that's the plan anyway)
Ironically enough, the Like 200i comes from Kymco's Chinese plant.. but I don't call it the same "Chinese" like these Chinese scooters.

Well I have redone the valve adjustment and it still made no difference it idles then you go to give it gas and it stumbles and wants to dies. When I do get it to rev up when the idle comes down it wants to die.

Well took the original carb that came on my scooter apart the yahoo that had it before me had obviously taken it apart and put a couple of pieces in backwards. One problem I had with this carb is the fact the A/F screw would not stay set it was very loose. Well this new SUPER EXPENSIVE Carb I got had all the tamper proofing shit on it. Including the damn A/F screw was able to get it out with a pair of needle nose. Good part is that I was able to use the Spring and rubber washer from it on the old carb and now the A/F mixture screw stays put. Checked the jets and reinstalled on scooter. Started up seems to be running great. Once I get all the plastic back on can take it out and give it a whirl see how it goes. Probably wont be until weekend but keeping my fingers crossed that all is good.

You sir, have much more patience and perseverance than I could hope to have with these Chinese scooters. I was facing taking mine apart for a third time and decided to try and make a profit and get something reliable instead since I use it for my work commute. Profit I did, and something reliable I got. <3 The Majesty 400
Best of luck on your ride this weekend. Sounds like you've pretty much rebuilt this entire POS from the ground up.

Ok ended up working on helping rebuild a Deck all weekend so did not get out to give it a ride until tonight. Perfect 78 degree day. Got my helmet on put GPS on bike since I rely on that for an accurate speedo. So I take and buzz around town for a bit all is going good. Stop fill up with premium gas head out of town out a gradual hill I was topping out at about 53 mph I am thinking damn this still sucks I went out about 3 miles turned around at side road stopped and it stayed running HUGE plus. I am stopped at stop sigh just sitting there and realize I was not only going up hill a bit but then I was also bucking a wind..... LOL So I head back was up over 63 mph. So I cruise back through town head out the other end of town head out to a town called Avoca it is about 10 miles away and the road to there is pretty much a nice level road and the wind was more of side wind than front or back wind. Head out stayed nice and steady 55-57 mph out and BACK.
So tomorrow it is suppose to be upper 70s again so I am thinking I am going to give it a try and take it to work tomorrow for the ultimate test. That is what I got it for in the first place. 56 miles ONE WAY..... so it is do or DIE tomorrow.....

Second Leg of the run today was also successful..... Nice to actually have something with this scooter go right for a change. To bad I wasted $200 to get a carb that is tamper proof and used the A/F mixture valve spring. so now I have a nice paper weight that looks like a carb.

Man what a relief. I don't know about you but with all the pain and suffering these scooters put you through, when it DOES work, I'm ecstatic.. overjoyed even. It's almost similar to the feeling of when you get the scooter for the first time.. "YESSSSSSS" (as you hold your breath praying this isn't a temporary celebration..)
I think I can honestly say that ONLY Chinese scooters can give you that feeling LOL!!
