WOW! I just finished the top end swap and man was it a mess. The bottom ring and the lower oil ring had both frozen into the piston, the spark plug was welded/corroded badly at the tip, and the piston itself was scarred along its side. It runs fine now, so its off to hunt down the electrical problem I have for my headlights tomorrow. scored on the side ? how was the cylinder wall where the piston was scored , was the cylinder wall scored or worn away ? its behind the gas tank , infront of the tail light . out with the seat bucket , off with the rear luggage rack then remove the right side cover .
if you look passed the gas tank you might be able to see it .
I would still like a head on pic of your scooter .

Welcome to the forum! I'd say at this point it's fuel related also but since you did change the spark plug boot I would make sure I'm getting a good spark also. Sometimes these boots can malfuntion, one second they are making good connection the other not? If I had a good steady blue spark then the next step is the pull the old carb and go to our tech section for a good cleaning how to. Be sure to check the jets for blockage, change the fuel filter, in fact drain the gas and make sure you haven't got any water, it does happen you know and check all the vacuum lines for leaks. Loss of vacuum will keep the fuel pump from pumping correctly. Get back to us and keep us informed. We are here to help. Can you leave some meat on the bone JR? John JR

Fill it with fluid bleeder closed pump the brake lever, hold the lever in crack bleeder, close bleeder pump an hold crack bleeder, close bleeder. Watch you don't run out of fluid. . Keep repeteing the above till fluid tins out without air bubbles.

The upgrade I did was based on information posted by JR. I made sure to have spares, then others wanted to do the same as I did. I sold my tested spares then bought another set of spares. I have sold my spares several times. Now I'm buying them in bulk. Now to keep things simple I have all 3 components as a set tested and ready to ship for anyone interested in this upgrade.

I would like to know what the ac output difference is between the two . More or higher acv from the stator the more power after the regulator . 88mm stator and 90mm magneto is what I have .

you need to tap it in , when I have done this the crank was not inplace . I used a scocket over the seal and tapped it in with a hammer . You might try several washers then a deep socket or piece of pipe 3/4 or 1 inch with washers .

the pic of the clutch I posted the pads are larger then stock . it gives you more grab area . You should remove the varaitor and check the rollers . An impact gun should break the variator free , you need to hold the variator when working the nut .

So it seems like no vendors clain 11 magnets , there is a difference in the od of the 6pole and 11pole stators . I took some pictures with the caliper . I have many parts if your looking for measurments let me know I will be happy to answer any questions . s1214.photobucket.com/albums/cc483/tvnacman/stator/I'm going to send an email about this to the supplier and try to find out if the 11 magnet magneto is in existence .
