scooters a longbo/ sunl adventure 1996
I have a harness with electrical issues in the bike and a pulled harness from a salvaged unit on hand.
The harnesses are identical except the salvage harness has an additional plug for an alarm system and from what I've been told, I need to disable this for the bike to run as leaving it open keeps the ignition killed.
Does anyone know which wires need to be grounded and/or wired into each other to make this swap happen?
I can leave pictures of both harnesses if needed. I dont have access to the alarm from the salvaged bike as the owner already parted that out to someone else.

feast , I think your looking for trouble !!!! Changeing a harness is not that simple , then useing a used one . Sounds like a bad receipe . I would adding on and rewiring your stock harness maybe a better idea . Tackle one problem at a time . Start with the battery cables clean tight connections , then work the grounds good clean tight connections . If you have a bad component with a harness swap the problem will still be there , then who knows what other problems the new harness will come with .
I wish you luck take good pics for your self just in case .

If you do inded decide to swap them then the alarm plug should have a brown/white and black/white wire. Jump the two together and all will be fine. If you do not you will be able to start the scooter but not kill the engine.
