They were never taught at home and just don't care. This is the present generation, sad is it not.

Watch this and tell me that you don't get a tear in your eye. Too often they are the forgotten heros. And too often we applaud and worship false heros who do not do anything other than entertain us. This clip shows us the real HEROS! May we never forget them and the service they have rendered to this nation.

You can convert it to a TowPac unit if you have a dealer near by and IF TowPac makes one for your rig. They special made mine for my Buddy 170i, my riding pal (little dealership) installed it in 4 hours flat. TowPac.com actually makes what we call outrigger units, you end up with 3 wheels in the rear. I also have a TGB 150I that we put a Cozy sidecar on. These units handle differently than 2 wheelers but are easy to get used to. So far as I can determine these 2 rigs are the only ones in the country set up this way (I mean Buddy 170i and TGB 150I scoots)

I agree with RKS. I had 2 Tank (Chinese) scoots from a local dealer who promptly went out of business. The Chinese scoots were OK and quality has improved over the year. However I switched to TGB's made in Taiwan and was pleased with them They are no longer imported. Switched to a Genuine Buddy 170i from a local dealer who can service it. Plus I have a riding pal who has a small dealership and we swap my dog sitting for him in return for free labor. Genuine Buddy is made in Taiwan and in my opinion as quality machines. I understand what Bobf is saying. At 79 my knees are pretty well worn out. Converted my 170i to a trike using a TowPac unit, love it. My riding is all on county roads. If you plan to ride on Xways get at least a 250cc scoot to keep up with traffic. You are getting good advise from every one here.

Had the same problem on my first scoot, a Tank 150. Disconnected the clock and alarm system and that made a big difference. Also I use battery tenders on my rigs when not riding for a length of time.

Here in the BallGround/Canton GA area it is running from $1.97.9 to $1.99.9 for regular. down from a high in the mid $3..40 range 6 weeks ago. Not as good as in some other areas but GA. has a tax on every gallon sold. My guess is that when summer demand goes up so will fuel prices. Politics, supply , and demand are the determining factors.

Don't forget the Ice Bear regular scooters. My dealer is running one, took it to the WNC mountains, put 300 miles on it up there and was very pleased with overall quality and performance. Strong engine and from what I could see it is very well constructed. I am riding a Genuine Buddy 170i with a TowPac out rigger but if I were looking for another 2 wheeler the IceBear would be t the top of my list .

Well Ellpee, it does not make an ATV(got one of those too) and contrary to the wishes of some it is not a car and you still need a MC license to ride it. (Sheesh, every one wants to ne a comedian)

TowPac made a trike unit for my Buddy 170i which we installed last week. Great people to work with, went out of their way to design a MicroMini unit for the 170i.Their construction of the unit is spot on, great welding and definitely well built. Still have some fiddling to do on it, adjusting, etc. but I am very pleased with it. Bryan Smith of Mountain Moped did the wrenching and I assisted by staying out of the way. From unpacking to riding took less than 6 hours. I am used to riding a sidecar unit which helps but the trike unit does handle a bit differently. Has a different feel on the road but you get used to it quickly. Just remember that you have 3 wheels behind you, not one. For the dollar spent I don't think you can get a better unit. Dianne in the office and Jeremie in the shop are extremely helpful.

Motor oil?

I started using 5W on the advise of my riding buddy, normally gets hot here in the summer but nothing like AZ, and we do have some mountain roads that we ride on. My Buddy 170i handles them well. No secrets, just habit, I guess.

You are correct. I will still use 5w however. We do get some cold weather here in the winter time but after 5 months of daily rain in the area I am thinking about selling my hack and 170i and buying a boat.

I use 5w40 diesel motor oil, Shell Rotella synthetic in my Sidecar rig, my Buddy 170i,and my Coolster ATV. Alleyoop is also correct. 10w40 is good too. I use 5w because of the steep hills that I ride on and synthetic because it is slicker.

Interesting. By using the term moped they are describing a motorized /pedal driven bicycle. A motor scooter by definition is a motor driven 2 wheeled vehicle powered by 50cc to 600 cc engines. Here in GA. 'mopeds' under 50 ccs requires the operator to have a drivers license not a motorcycle endorsement drivers license. In this country the term moped has come to mean, incorrectly, any motor scooter. The NC proposed law if read quickly is poorly written. In Ga no license tag is needed for a motor scooter under 50ccs nor is insurance required. The operator can not ride after dark or on expressways.
