As they say in the ad Alley posted, you need to be sure that the groove is on the correct side. Look at some of the other keys that come up in that search too - some will have a groove on the right, and some will be on the left. You need to be sure to get the right (correct) blank. then you need to get the darn thing cut - the only one who would cut one for me was a motorcyclist key cutter in Home Depot who needed me to come at the end of the business day because he was not allowed to cut these!! Good luck.

Is that a standard 13" rim on a gy6? If so lots of our sponsors/vendors sell them, and you can always go on ebay.

Can's wait to hear any responses. when I sit on the scoot my rear suspension is already bottomed out so its like riding on a rigid. I will add to your question by wondering if stiff, adjustable rear shocks will help at all such that it will "hold" you up while riding and have room to compress on bumps.

You're on the Reflex? Should be solid mechanically, but how is the seat after such long rides?? Sounds like a great trip - please post some pics when you get them.

Been meaning to come back with a follow up. Still hard to start when its hot, but once it starts it runs like a dream. I have adjusted the carb, changed the sparkplug, adjusted the valves, and I have to say its running better than ever. Starts right up when cold, runs strong and sounds great. Only thing is when its hot I do a three count on the starter, another three count, and then hold it on for about a five count and it sort of catches and fires up. Again, once its on, its on and purring like a kitten. Any ideas?? Thanks.

Thanks for the reply Richard. I did do it cold, thanks, and put back in the oil. Great tips that I am glad I did not learn them "the hard way" as I have with other things!
I know the valves were too tight because it was very hard to start hot or warm, so I'm wondering if I'm just used to it being too quiet! I'll ride around tomorrow and see how it goes.

I just adjusted my valves on the Vog (257 cc Linhai) to .004 in and .006 out. Now I have an audible tic tic tic . . . . that I didn't have before. I checked again and the clearances were right. I'll need to let it cool down before checking again, but perhaps the out is too big? some people say .005. Some people also say ignore it because they'll tighten up anyway. Any thoughts? Thanks in advance.

Here's a link to what should be a close diagram. scooterdoc.proboards.com/index.cgi?board=250cc&action=display&thread=4358It';s a really big file and may take a minute to load. I will give my standard advice for this scoot though - check the brown and yellow wire connection going into the CDI harness. I had intermittent stalling issues, intermittent spark issues, and all were traced to that wire not securely attached to the "pin" at the connector.
