Hey everyone, I have a 2011 Jonway YY250T with the original tires and the front tire won't hold any air, and it's the valve stem thats causing the leak, how do I fix this? Thanks !

I had a valve stem leaking, turned out to be the valve itself, tighten it up it was good, if you have too you can replace the valve stem, not too hard to do.

Replace the valve stem....remove the shrader valve from inside the valve stem to let the air out. Then use a Large C clamp to break the tire bead. Then cut the valve stem with a knife and discard. They are junk from the get go and need to be replaced with American valve stems. The size is .453 and can be purchased just about anywhere. Replace on both tires. Life is good...

My YY250T had a porous spot in the rim right at the inside recess for the stem. I used a short, small stem from auto parts and set it in silicone sealant and never had another problem.

Seems to be a continuous problem for the 2008 year scoots. I replaced mine shortly after I bought it and also used those Kurvey Girl bent stems. No problems since that installation to both front and rear tires.

Replacing the valve stems should be a standard procedure when doing your first PDI--just saying--fflintstone

Yeah you cant go wrong with those stems from Kurvey Girl. Did my scoot and both my buddies scoots. You should change them as part of your first PDI but just like your car, if your due new tires change your stems.

got a set of the .453 1 1/4th chrome stems ebay $3.69 free shipping ,one guy was selling one stem for 31.00 ,got to shop ,the video looks simple an the best way to save few bucks ,but I may spend 28.00 to have it done at a tire shop, its worth not having a blow out for sure. an they look just like the ones in the video set of 4 with chrome sleeves,i am guessing a better made rubber, most are anyway ,could be wrong often am ,I guess the only thing I forgot is how to remove the shrader valve ,I am sure its simple thanks

Been awhile, but as I recall there are metal valve caps with a little slotted metal thingie sticking up. Turn the cap upside down and insert that thingie into the valve and just unscrew the guts. If you have the smooth valve caps, of course, you might have to visit AutoZone or somewhere and look for the other kind.
I ***MIGHT*** even have some of them lying around in one of my toolboxes, if so I'll post a picture later this evening.
