I agree with cyborg. That was my experience, started with a Chinese 150, then a Jonway 250, had much trouble with that. Then to a Honda Reflex that I put 38,000 on. Oct '15 went to Suzuki Burgman 400 and this Oct. moved to Honda Silver Wing. Probably stop there since it does everything I want a bike to do.

I am really happy with the preformance of my Burgman 400. Will do 75 without strain, weighs about 420 # with very low center of gravity, great for around town yet good for some open road. I recently rode from Tucson to Yuma and back about 600 miles or more with side trips. Just be sure to get 2007 or later, early models used oil right from the get go. BTW I'm 75.

It been a while since I was here. Last Oct. I bought a 2003 Burgman 400 at auction and after minor tune up it runs great. Someone had put the Dr. Pulley sliders in upside down. It had 25k miles. It uses a lot of oil. a fellow member in the Tucson scooter club (Sky Island Riders) who has an identical bike tells me that all early Bergie 400s used oil from the start. It uses a pint in 1000 miles or less. Anyone know if this is really normal or should I just do an overhaul??? My Reflex at 48k used less than 4 oz per 1000 but I wanted the higher hp and fuel injection for riding in the higher mountains. Thanks in advance.

Recently rebuilt the variator with Honda original parts. Major difference. I am totally happy with the Reflex set us this way.

Now with about 3000 miles on that Yokohama 145R12 tire I can say that I am totally satisfied with it. A different variator that shifted out slower would be in order since the tire is so much larger in diameter.

My initial reaction and the first thing I'd check is the switch itself.

Hey, JR, I bought a back up for the Reflex. I thought I had attached a picture but it was too dense. Just delete this, I tried but it didn't work I bought a 30 year old Goldwing with only 46,000 miles.

ellpee, I think you have that backwards. The starter switch gets its power from the brake lights, not the ground.

Actually the YY250T has 3.4 gallon tank. I got about 70 mpg with mine so 200 miles left a good reserve.

I suggest a good helmet with a face shield to solve the glasses problem and add a lot of safety.

Welcome! I have a Honda Reflex from which the Jonway was cloned and I love it. Had a yy250T before the Honda. You will find the Jonway much easier to ride.
