The synthetic oil last longer before breaking down. We had screens on engines long before we had filters.

It worked for 7 yrs...go figure ......Other than that the scoot has been excellent.... 11,707 miles now.......I am ready to get it going again. Ordered a new tail light assembly and got it installed. New tires and ready to go. I am retired and have some time to ride. Thanks again....

Not sure why my scoot has this unit, have not seen this on any other scoot. Roketa shows no such animal or I would order the correct one from them. My build date is July 2008. I got the scoot in August 2008.

That sounds good to me... I pulled off from the scooter the 4 pin (blocking diode) regulator that is original for the scoot. Was trying to replace it with the same item. I guess it did not work. I have the pdf you placed on the replacing the diode with a relay using a 4 prong relay. Will wait till the other diode I ordered comes in and try it. Then I will try the relay route. Thanks again....

Thanks for the reply....If I jumper the female connector on the harnessthat connects to the blocking diode, I have the scooter back to normal, except the tail light is on, with the key off not running. When the scoot is running in this mode, everything works as advertised. Turn the scoot off the tail light stays on. I did what JR said to do and reverse the plug in on the diode. It changed nothing. The only way to use the scoot is to place a mini toggle switch on the diode connector and manually turn the R/R on and off. I have another blocking diode in the mail and will see if that works. My blocking diode is a 4 female pins male and it will only go on one way. It uses the red and white wire on the bottom of the connector and two on top are not used. I have 2 R/R's and they both act the same way with the blocking diode installed or disconnected. I went a removed the HID's headlights from the mix and it changed nothing. Not sure what is going on...I know JR will come through. Thanks everyone for your help.

The plug in for the diode has a white and red wire.

When I jumper the blocking diode and start the scoot everything works as advertised. So you may be right...I ordered one of the diodes you gave me on a link. It has not made the trip yet, so maybe it will work. It will not plug in, but I can make a jumper wire set to use and test the system.

I replaced the diode with a like item.. maybe.. and it will not hookup backwards. I thought the same thing and will make a jumper set and see if you are correct. The item that I purchased looks like the one I took off, but it could be totally different on the inside. I really appreciate your help, it not normal for my scoot to have a problem. I joined the original Scootdawg in 2008. So my scoot has been a real trooper. Thanks again....

Scooter not running...key off...diode connector jumpered...I have tail light. nothing else...so that would kill the battery..
