I have dealt with MotoPartsMax.com in the past and had good luck with them.

Don't quote me but I think the thermostat should begin to open around 167 degrees. You can use the pan of water on the stove test to see when it starts to open. I think the engine should run between 200 to 220 degrees. It is possible the gauge is off. While running at halfway on the gauge does the fan cycle on and off or does it run constantly? If it cycles on and off while the scooter is running then I would say what your gauge is reading is the "new" normal.

The fan should cause cooler air to pass through the front of the radiator to the engine side. If the fan it mounted in front of the radiator it should push air through. If the fan is mounted behind the radiator it should pull air through.
Also, are you sure the water pump is moving the coolant through the system?

Gas tank may not be vented properly. Try running it with the gas cap off or loosened. If it doesn't die then that could be your problem.

If you have the choice use gas that doesn't have ethanol in it. Scooters run ok with it but ethanol attracts water which causes more problems during storage. It is also hard on some of the fuel hoses that come out of China.
I think Alley is correct. Sounds like you need to adjust the valves.
It could also be that your gas tank isn't vented well enough and at higher fuel demand you are getting a negative pressure buildup in your gas tank, stopping fuel flow. You can check that by loosening the gas cap and test driving under the same conditions to see if the scooter still dies.

Then you need a 918 X 22.5 X 30 size belt.

The one you have is correct if you have a 10 inch rear wheel. If you have a 12 or 13 inch rear wheel it should be a 918x22.5x30.

To find an air leak, while the scooter is idling spray some carb cleaner along the air filter housing, air tube and intake manifold. If the idle speed increases, that is wear the air leak is.

Did the sparkplug come loose and blow out of the head? That is the first thing I would check.
