My name is Bob. I'm from Massachusetts. My title says I have a 2008 Shen, however there are plates riveted to the bike that say it was built by Shanghai Shenke and imported by Jonway. In any case it is a YY250T. While it goes pretty well and surprisingly has anti-lock brakes there are lots of little problems with inferior materials and assembly. The bike only has 1100 miles, but I'm experiencing electrical problems. I'm also going to replace all the vacumn lines because they are cracking and I have intermittent driveability issues. I am interested in finding out if there are replacement body panels and windscreens available for these bikes. Also looking for an owner's or repair manual for this bike. While I have operated and maintained many motorcyles since being first licensed to ride in 1976, I have no experience with Chinese Motor Scooters. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Bob.

Welcome Bob--you are in the right place--your scooter is the same almost as the Roketa MC 54 -250 and this site is loaded with info on this scooter--see JR for detailed info, and scan our info sections for your partricular scoot--it is a Linhai clone engine or Honda clone ,depending on configuration of the engine---and the YY is a favorite scoot on here---also the first thing we always do when we get a new Chinese scoot is to replace all the hoses, antifreeze, engine oil, rear end oil,and brake fluid--we do have a problem with the tires and valve stems,as they are inferior materials and are not up to par--so if you still have all original parts on it you will be a little busy doing the required PM on it--not to worry ,we have complete sections detailing all of this---happy trails, fflintstone
