You did give them a big hug before you ahhemmm stole this motorcycle didn't you? Well now I would have JR but I was too busy getting it loaded in my pickup and getting my tail down the road before she changed her mind. I sensed she didn't want to sell it but had gotten frustrated with it.

Profiles on the left looks good to me. I also think the width is fine.

Came across a Craigslist deal I couldn't refuse. A 2007 Baja Motorsports Phoenix motorcycle. Been sitting in this gal's garage for the last three years or so. Only had 161 miles on it. She said her boyfriend could get it to fire with starting fluid but it wouldn't run. $300.00 and it was all mine. They had put a new battery in it so all I did was charge it up, clean the carb, fill with new gas and changed the oil. Fired right up. I'm going to take the carb off and clean it again as it doesn't want to idle without a little choke on. Even with that it is running strong. It has the cloned Honda 234cc parallel twin and the body is a clone of the Suzuki GZ250. I was surprised at how well it rides. At 60 indicated it feels so much more stable than either my 150 or 250 scooter. At 50 the speedometer is only off by 3 MPH. (50 indicated = 47 actual) These pictures were taken on my inaugural ride, taking advantage of the last of the sunshine up here before the rain sets in for the year. Attachments:

The short hose with the 90 degree bend in it is just an atmosphere vent for the carb bowl and should remain open on the end.
The vacuum port on the carb is for the ACV valve on the carb. It's function is to help keep the engine from running lean when the engine is decelerating. Keeps it from backfiring when slowing down quickly. It needs to be connected to a vacuum source coming off of the intake manifold vacuum port or a "T" fitting on the vacuum hose running from the intake manifold to the fuel petcock if there is only one port on the intake manifold.

Shouldn't the black/white wire be for the kill switch?

To test for fuel flow, take the fuel line off the carburetor and let it hang in a container. Hit the starter button and let the engine crank over. While the engine is cranking look to see if fuel is spurting out of the hose. It shouldn't just dribble out, should be good steady squirts.

Haven't had to replace bulbs on my 250 yet. I did on my 50cc. When the 25 watt bulb burned out I replaced it with a 35 watt bulb. I could see an improvement at night.

If you aren't having any problems right now the 35watt should be fine.
