If you aren't having any problems right now the 35watt should be fine.

Not having problems but I am not using the 35 watt bulb--the 25 watt bulb is OEM which I am using, and I just wondered if the 35 watt bulb was being used by anyone else and if the brighter bulb was too much for our small 7 and 9 amp batteries..my 25 watt bulb just now went out after 5 years and ,.I just ordered the 25 watt bulb and then noticed the other 35 watt bulb for sale--thinking about ordering it... don't know ....

Fflintstone, I have a JCL MP 250 a with linhai 257 engine and a 9amp battery and mine come new 5 years ago with 35w bulbs in it from factory and I have had zero problems so far. Have a friend and he has 25 watt and to be honest with u I don't see much difference. If u already have the 25's I think I would just use them. Barn

Haven't had to replace bulbs on my 250 yet. I did on my 50cc. When the 25 watt bulb burned out I replaced it with a 35 watt bulb. I could see an improvement at night.

If I rode much at night I would definitely get brighter lights, but now I don't get out much after dark--and when you see how much aggravation it is to change bulbs you can see why I might not be anxious to change often--lol--ride safe, fflintstone

fflintsone
I have a 2008 MC54-250B and installed similar 12v, 35W bulbs and my hi/lo beam switch melted.
Others have reported no such problems but I would consider installing a relay with the 25W-->35W upgrade if I were you.
