On another forum that I am sure is an update, they have a small flag at the beginning of a new, unread by me post, that is a small box that says NEW. It would be just in front of the thread title. nicetomeet.proboards.com/If not a member then maybe the NEW label won't show.

Be kind to yourself. You aren't alone with this misfortune. At least one other has posted the same mistake in the last year. .

I did start on a different forum. Have not used it in years now. Just tried to see if I could sign in and was refused. Either I have forgotten my password and user name or I may never have joined there before. Not worth the effort to go through a rejoin routine. .

My personal feelings about the second inauguration is this. WHY?
Obama could have had his inauguration party on Sunday as it was his official day. That would have been proper and correct.
Obama's second inauguration was on Martin Luther Kings day and his take over did not enhance MLK's celebration one bit. It instead shifted the emphasis over to Obama and his EGO drip. Dam shame I think. MLK also needs to have his days of remembrance without all the diversions created by Obama and his followers.
Of course, some will take exception to my thinking. .

Without tracing back your posts I don't know what you have. I have a 2008 Roketa (Importer) MC 54 250 a vertical 244CC engine, YY250T, and the fan never runs till heat comes up a bit. But after a ride if I shut the key off the fan stops even though still warm. .

Flintstone, what year is that scoot in the picture. I can see that it is a 54 250B as it is on the rear cover. I have a 2008 MC 54 250B and it has a vertical 244CC engine. So I am curious to see if they use the same nomenclature for both engines. I am assuming that yours is the horizontal engine, but may be wrong. The Roketa catalog shows the horizontal engine to be numbered as MC 54B 250. .roketa.com/product/productlist/2610.shtml" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.roketa.com/product/productlist/2610.shtml. My seat is different from that one and my front cowl panel and windshield do not fit so perfectly as yours. There is a bulge in the panel over where the windshield screws are. Not a lot but definitely not smooth as yours seems to be. That is a nice looking scoot you have. .

Do you have a motorcycle shop close by? Possibly a Honda dealer and repair place. Explain your problem to them and ask for a good solution. They may have oil resistant flexible washers that would do the job. I think my scoot had a soft copper or aluminum type of washer. I wonder about that as a long term reusable oil seal. Same with the flexible material. Probably need a hand backup in case they don't work well on the second or third reuse. .

If you do go to WalMart take a look at their smaller, 19" digitals, for about $140 and save the $50 buck for the converter box. Then maybe even find a indoor antenna that will work with that set. If not at WalMart, maybe at Radio Shack. You have a tough assignment. Hope you can untangle the questions and answers.
A few years back I had two of those old analog 19" TV's so I went out and bought 2 converters. Shortly after attaching them the analog sets decided to retire about a month apart. So know I have two digital TV's and I gave the converters to my daughter and someone else. Anyway. these new TV's are very light, easy to handle. I could barely handle those older ones but these newer ones are pretty rugged and one travels with me on trips to my home in Colorado. I have Dish on vacation up there so a phone call gets it turned on for my stay.
Best to you.

Do you have a Radio Shack nearby? Go there, shed some crocodile tears with your story and maybe they can help make it happen. I have no idea what that entails these days dollar wise. I have been on satellite or cable for the last 10 years. I did have an antenna too, but don't remember the cost and I put it up myself. For your situation you will likely need to have outside help. .

Well Terrilee, by the time your vacation is over I will be in my 80's and watching for your return. As long as my body and brain will last. If the quarters are decent and the food OK it may not really be too hard. Definitely a loss of freedom. We had a neighbor that just could not stay out of trouble, drugs problems, and he did not mind the stays much at all. We had a new county jail with some decent looking sleeping areas, there was a library, gym, work out room. Some were able to work outside. Just some hopeful thoughts as I have no idea where you will be spending your vacation time. Why, for you, just doesn't seem right.
Good luck with it all. Best too you. Please do return to the forums when you are able too. If your location has computers maybe you could get on and send a hello. .

Hmmm, 51 and Cactus. Isn't that close to a dealer? Maybe a half mile west of 51 and north a tad?
Interesting reading these posts as I was looking to get relocated into the Phoenix area somewhere. We had looked from Mesa, Gilbert, east to Apache and Queen Creek areas. We also looked at some Chandler areas and all the way out west to Buckeye. Spent parts of a year and a half but actually ended up down in Casa Grande. I do miss all the availability of entertainment and activities with lots of restaurants too. But down here it is a lot quieter and I do get out and ride once in a while. If I really want to do something it is about 45 minutes in a car to get to Chandler and Tempe for the malls or Ikea. Or if I go up a different road I end up in Gilbert or Mesa for what ever reasons I may have. Still wish I had stayed closer to Phoenix though. .

I posted yesterday but must have forgotten to save.
Back in 1950 a class mate of mine in high school drove one just like the one on sale. Loud orange color too. He traded in his Cushman and got his Salsbury.
At that time I was riding a Whizzer driven bike. And I sure was jealous of him and his scoot. .

Well, I just like to think of these larger scooters with higher power to be mostly step through motorcycles.
Those lighter machines with smaller cc engines really are scooters, even without the kick start mechanism. I found those that live with a 55" wheel base to be good candidates for scooter. Most had flat floors. I tried them on for size and on many my knees were right up to the front panel. I felt more like I was wearing the thing rather than riding. So I started to look for a longer wheel base.
Now when there is a step up to the higher horse power machines 150 cc and up with a 65" wheel base and water cooling, the scooter image is gone and we now have a step through motorcycle.
It is all very fuzzy right now except in many states anything larger than 49cc is a motorcycle. I guess I don't really agree with that idea either. So maybe it is me that is fuzzy. .

I believe that a set of easy outs can be found at Sears, maybe even in some auto stores.
Google 'easy out' and see what comes up. There appear to be different styles for the job. .

If the bolt body is still in there you may be able to drill in the center of he bolt and use an 'easy out' in this hole to help back out the screw remains.
If the hole and threads themselves are messed up you may be able to re drill to fit a Helicoil thread system.
Just a couple of ideas.
