OH yes and add one other thing John, COLLARD GREENS!! Mine are still under snow but it's melting fast and we all know cold frost and weather just makes collards that much sweeter! But if I can't pick any I have a backup, canned cabbage from the garden that I canned this spring. Also some good homemade cornbread to top this meal off. Some laugh at this dinner but I must say last year's New Years Day meal brought me a lot of luck. Hog jowl, black eye peas, collard greens, cornbread a meal fit for a king! I might even thaw out some strawberries to go with it! Yum Yum!    JR |

well lets see
i get to spend 9 months on a "state sponsored vacation", starting 4 Jan
so this will be one of the worse years of my life.
At least the 'kids' dont have to go to a shelter,
they can stay in their own house.
so that makes it a bit easier for me.
So have fun yinz guys---see ya all in 9-10 months
keep my spot warm.

um John very little actually.BUT
29 years ago, i was very bad.
after hubs died, i turned into a alkie.
always in bars, do you remember what was in bars in the early-mid 80's? COCAINE
i became a coke addict, robbed a few banks, etc etc
did my time , did my parole, etc etc
BUT that stuff always stays on your record.
even 29 years later!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
So now i have VERY high prior score ( not sure of actual terms)
YEA LIKE PEOPLE CANT CHANGE IN 29 YEARS
so for this stupid stuff, i can fight in court, BUT if i loose
i can get YEARS, all because of the prior score.
so..........................................
does that satisfy your curiosity???
do you know enough about my prior life now?

as for my past, im not ashamed of the things i did
{ i was not me, i was a coked out person}
i paid my dues, i just dont understand why things you did 30 years still have F up your life.

Well Terrilee, by the time your vacation is over I will be in my 80's and watching for your return. As long as my body and brain will last. If the quarters are decent and the food OK it may not really be too hard. Definitely a loss of freedom. We had a neighbor that just could not stay out of trouble, drugs problems, and he did not mind the stays much at all. We had a new county jail with some decent looking sleeping areas, there was a library, gym, work out room. Some were able to work outside. Just some hopeful thoughts as I have no idea where you will be spending your vacation time. Why, for you, just doesn't seem right.
Good luck with it all. Best too you. Please do return to the forums when you are able too. If your location has computers maybe you could get on and send a hello.

Maybe? Maybe not? You've got your beloved cats taken care of, very good news there. You'll be back before this new year is up and have 3 months to catch up and get back on track, even fire your scooter up.
You are alive and still standing and it's my belief you'll be standing stronger after you come home.
We all have skeletons in our closets and myself you know me well enough to know I believe in a higher power and one of the things I've been taught in my beliefs is for what measure you judge people on earth so will you be judged in the final judgement before Him and His judgement is final.
Here on this forum you are and have never been anything but polite, helpful, cheerful and a friend to all. Nearly every time you're the first to welcome a new person and if you're not you still always do welcome them.
For this reason along with others I consider you a cherished and so valued person, member and friend.
I will wish you a Happy New Year and mine will be happier when you return and not only will we keep your seat warm but we'll leave the light on for you.

your right JR as long as the kids are home and taken care of,
i am 178% less stressed now.
now if my friend Johns non healing wounds on his ankles
{ diabetes } would heal. id feel even better.
i hope for his sake, and MAINLY (lol) for the kids he heals quickly and can go up and down the stairs easier and better.
Its just a shame that i have to go to jail for being scared and trying to flee. FIGHT OR FLIGHT
but as my POS lawyer said, if i go to court and loose, because of that
prior score i could get 4-8 YEARS.
so take the plea deal |
