Foot Pegs

made these for my Buddy 170, but they may be able to be used on other scooters So here goes Foot pegs My MATERIALS 3/16 X 1in. X 4 foot is stainless steel flat iron. (Free local junk yard) Foot pegs, local bike shop. Same price as his, but no shipping! Longer metric bolts. (M6-1.0x30mm) Auto Zone. Small pieces of Velcro. Now the fun part. Measures, cut, bend the center piece. Measured from different points to get the bolt down holes right. Drill holes 2 sizes bigger to allow for a little adjustment. Did not like where my feet were going to be, They were back to far so I cut 2 pieces 7 inches long wielded then to the cross piece. Next thing they were a little to low, so I notched the 7 in. pieces and bent them up a little. Next the pegs slanted down a little so I twisted them up a little. Then said that’s good enough, and welded then solid where I had notched them. Work grate! you can not put a lot of weight on them, but they are grate for stretching out your legs. The Velcro went in the inside of the bend of the cross piece, so nothing would scuff the plastic. I am enclosing pictures from Photo bucket, hope they turn out. Up date: Added a clip on each side to hook on the frame. This took the stress off the two floor board bolts. Worked great! Project done. Hope this gives other riders some ideas! issue31

Hi Riders: The question is how do i hook up a Battery Tender Jr. to charge two batteries at the same time in winter storage? Both batteries will be out of the scooters, and on a wooden shelf. Do i have to run some extra wire between the batteries? Or just charge one at a time every other week?

Hi scooteraddict Thanks for the info. Ordered one tonight. $380.00. Sure better then making one. price would have been about the same. Some scooter store in FL. had them. I will be putting it on the back of a Dodge Decota, so no problem there. This will be Quick and easy, and i do not have to take the cover on the box all the time. Thanks again!

???Has anyone used a VersaHaul 50 cc carrier to transport a Buddy 125 or a Buddy 170? Both scooters are below the weight limits for this carrier. I will be going only about 65 miles one way, maybe two or three times a year. I do not want to relay on someone to help me load and unload it from a pickup box, and put the cover back on the pickup box. I would also have to deal with a ramp, witch would require some help. It just seems this would be much easier. Any info would be helpful. Thanks issue31 John.
