Are you sure the battery was fully charged? How old is the battery? I would charge the battery and then look for the battery drain culprit. I use a battery tender Jr. on my scoot and the orginal battery lasted almost 2 1/2 yrs. The battery we have to use has to be cared for or it will leave you stranded. Enjoy the ride.....

Welcome to the fun....I have a 2008 Roketa MC54B-250 scoot which I purchased new and I have 6700 miles on it and 3 1/2 yrs of riding....great scoot.....enjoy the ride...

The chrome ends just unscrew.... kinda like twist and turn...from the end of the bars.....use a pair of pliers and a rag to keep from damaging the ends....your bars are 7/8".....enjoy the ride..

Sounds like the rear axle nut was loose.....use blue loctite on reassembly....works great....hope you find some wheels....

HI...everyone....I know the lights on the scoots leave alot to desire....but I installed Hi/Lo Bi-Xenon HID's....5000k....H4....35 watt....superslim ballast....excellent mod....be careful of Halogens....they get pretty hot....the HID's do not melt the plastic....I leave for work at 1 am and live in the country...with no street lights.....love the HID's....not a hard mod...just takes some time to install.....there is a thread on this on the forums....enjoy your scoot...I do....Thanks JR for all you do for us....

Very good point JR...I use freezer bags to label and keep the bolts etc. from ending up lost...like he said take pics...notes....the piston rings are the first to go on most gas engines....but it takes alot of miles.....how many miles does your scoot have....these engines are very tough....low oil and neglect are the common probs on any engine....scoot or car...metal to metal contact rules everytime....destroys the engine .....we are so use to turning the key and going...till the ride gives up the ghost and we wonder why.....the demise of the full service gas station has added to the prob....so self inspection of your ride is required...stay safe...enjoy the ride...

Welcome....a few things we need to know...mileage....size engine...244 or 257cc....was a PDI done at purchase time...have the valves been adjusted.....have you checked the enricher...the automatic choke....fuel filter been changed....let us know what you need to fix your ride...lots of help here ....and we love scooters...

Yep the valve stems are junk.....have you replaced the brake fluid to type 3 or 4....engine coolant....50/50 Preston....trans fluid...85/90 gear lube....engine oil....10W40.....just a thought....enjoy the ride...

I have a question....when does the rattle occur.....off the center stand or on the center stand...check the rubber wheel bumper on the center stand....had to replace the wheel....half of it was gone...center stand hit the bottom of the engine...had a rod knocking sound on acceleration while riding......non on the center stand...just a thought...

We did not answer your question....it will vary from engine to engine....no pat answer...the real answer is to use a differential compression tester....used in aircraft inspections....you pump 80 lbs into the cylinder at TDC and see what the second gauge reads....anything below 70 lbs is time to pull the cylinder and replace the rings...hone the cylinder or replace it all...and do a valve job on it....I am a licensed Aviation Maintenance Tech (A&P)....and Commercial Pilot.....this really tells you what condition the engine is really in....just some info...

Hi...guys and gals....my scoot has always used oil....no leak.... for it's entire 6000 mile trip....it has to do with the quality of the rings/cylinder composition....I just check it often and add as needed....it's just a machine....no more...no less.....it is not a perfect world....enjoy the ride...
