I have a Roketa MC-62. I has a small backrest but no trunk. There are hand rails but no back extension on the scooter. Any comments or suggestions welcome.
Sizes, Makes or Models, ETC.
Thanks, RP

Well I did find this you would of course have to take the backrest off and replace it with the Trunk. As far as mounting the trunk you probably can make a plateform to mount the trunk once you take the backrest off. But this will give you an idea of how to go about it. A lot of the trunks have a padded back rest attached so you would still end up with the back rest for the passenger. What I really liked about the 86 aspencade (gold wing) I bought new was it came with a sturdy back rest for the driver and still had plenty of room for a young lady on the back. Never had a back rest before or since. john

RP I looked around and remembered your scooter has no custom plate made by anybody for a trunk, no where, no kind. I had this on my mind and just stumbled on a guy with the same scooter that did what I would do and that's fabricate his own bracket. He did a nice job and used the material I would use stainless steel, easy to shine and never rusts or needs paint. I used to be a part owner in a custom fab shop and I could build one of these in a couple of hours at the most. Here is what he did; He used 10 gauge stainless which is heavy enough and you can see how he cut, drilled and fitted the plate to his back bracket where the backrest mounts too. He also ordered his trunk first so he would know how to drill and fit it to his mounting bracket. Here is another view of the plate ater he had it bent to make it fit his scooter and trunk; Now here is a view of it mounted without the trunk; Here is the bracing he put on each side underneath; Lastly the finished product; Now stainless steel cannot be cut with a torch yet rather sheared in a shop or cut with a grinder with metal cutting blades. If I didn't have the tools to work with it I would find a custom metal fab shop and take my trunk and work with them to build one that would mount and look nice. You can use regular black iron plate but you will need to clean, sand and give it a very good coat of paint to keep it from rusting and looking nice. Doing it this way you can have a wide range of custom trunks even with lights if you want. Hope this helps. JR
