I am having the devil of a time finding two new rear rims for my two scooters. Roketa 2008 mc-54-250B the rims were not greased and in the steel shaft vs. aluminum rim - the rim lost. less than 2000 miles each. I take very good care of my vehicles. never knew the rim / shaft design until too late. I have about 1/2 inch travel left to right. Checked the motor mounts - look solid. even the shaft shows some wear. I have to replace the tires too. found a place to mount the tires for me. I have to supply the parts though. I have tried so many sites, either to be back-ordered and loose the order, or have the site hold my funds while waiting on the slow boat from China. Can you please point me to a good reputable dealer? Attachments:

you need to check what caused these wheels to do this they should not be moving on the axle

About a half inch side to side slop -- it sounds like the axle spacer is missing or in the wrong spot.

Man I'm asleep, thanks nulldevice! He's right if you've got that much space something is wrong for sure. The wheel should not move side to side at all. roketa.com/product/parts_detail.jsp?partId=30732&partName=ENGINE ASSEMBLY(3) This diagram has the spacer #33 and it's measurements 17X25X57mm. Got to find out what's wrong here and yes you do put a graciious amount of good old bearing grease on the shaft splines. Let us know if you find wheels at one of these links, we are here to help. JR

just reread your tread and thought of this is the axle moving or just the wheel if the axle moves then you will need to open the gear box on back and check that to lock rings are not missing are out of place

Thanks everyone. I already know that the shaft does not move, the spacer also does not move and the axle nut is solid. I looked at these things too.
I wish I knew what caused both cycles to go bad here. I don't think it is behaviour. I do like to ride our highways and those fun curvey roads. Is weight an issue? I am under the manufacturers spec for max rider weight.
The scooters ran great for a year. Passed the first state safter inspections well. Something caused an uneven wear and load to somehow shift from side to side. I think when I would take higher speed curves it may have stressed the rim on the shaft from right curve to left curve and so on.
I will try these links for the rims. Thanks everyone! I love this board!

dont think weight is the problem can you see how much the splines mess if the axles splines are long enough to pass all the way though if not then it could be they are factory defects

I can get you new rims from Roketa.
If you are checking on other brands make sure it is for a 54B and not a 54 they are different.
