Thanks everyone. I already know that the shaft does not move, the spacer also does not move and the axle nut is solid. I looked at these things too.
I wish I knew what caused both cycles to go bad here. I don't think it is behaviour. I do like to ride our highways and those fun curvey roads. Is weight an issue? I am under the manufacturers spec for max rider weight.
The scooters ran great for a year. Passed the first state safter inspections well. Something caused an uneven wear and load to somehow shift from side to side. I think when I would take higher speed curves it may have stressed the rim on the shaft from right curve to left curve and so on.
