nice machine, but give me a BMS 260 any time... Not that they are better, but they definitely are cheaper!

My dream machine would be a V-cylinder engine, 2 pistons, 500cc, fuel injected. One that does 3000 RPM cruising at 60MPH instead of 6000RPM like most other bikes, and can peak over 90MPH (probably 100MPH would be nice).
One that has ~60MPG, depending on the speed (75MPG @ 45MPH would be nice).
Anyway, 20k miles is a rough estimate on chinese engines. Their steel is of much lower quality, however most of the time, their bikes are much lighter in weight too. (less drag, less power necessary on acceleration)
Usually by 20k miles, most bikes have had 2 to 4 large maintenances, and they'll need a much larger maintenance. When you pass 20K miles, you could still possibly go on, however some have had luck, others didn't. It all depends on how you use and maintain your bike. If you're a careful driver, slow in acceleration, preferably never drive at the top speed, and keep speed around 45-50MPH; keep a rigid maintenance routine, your bike may last longer.

They had a Honda Rebel on mine, as well as the suzuki and other brand variants. Even a Yamaha cross bike (150cc).
I chose a Rebel to start with. Clutch was bad, but the rest was a really nice ride!
Also with me, it was like in the nineties, with helmet (I chose 3/4 instead of full face), and white shirt it was still hot! Ow, and one thing, Boots, don't get black ones in Florida! It's too hot! In the sun, it could literally slow cook your feet. I had to buy grey leather instead of black leather boots!
You also need gloves and goggles/sunglasses. Breathable gloves, and breathable helmet is recommended for FL!
On amazon you can get things really cheap! I got my complete setup for $120! That included slightly overcharged, but very comfortable $49 boots, $20 set of 3 glasses (transparent (For night), Yellow (not needed, but nice night goggles), and sun goggles), gloves ($20), Cheapest DOT Helmet I could find $35, that wasn't ridiculous, nor toy-like.

lighter rollers can give you better acceleration, and engine braking. That in turn would give you better overall speed.

for a 50cc scoot, chinese bearings will be ok. A 250+cc scoot is a large machine, which you will want some quality stuff installed on.

Hey, thanks for the link man! My mirror broke, and i was looking for a replacement. Have bought a few, but they're all too small in size.
The originals are about the same as on my BMS. Only thing missing is a sealant ring (mirrors get full of water. Nothing a little transparent silicone can fix!

If it does use gas, you'll hear the difference, of holding the throttle just before the limiter kicks in, and going WOT. the engine should sound different, with an occasional exhaust hiccup.
I do believe that most of the time, in europe, the scoots are mechanically limited, not electronically.
But also mechanical limitations waste more fuel than limitation free.
What you could do is open the throttle just under the limitation, and you'll not use more fuel than when you don't have the limiter on.

So how does the calculation go for the "3.5-10" measurements?
If 4.0-10=100/100/10, and 3.5-10 = 100/90-10, then I need a 2.5-10 (100/100-10 divide by 4.0 times 2.5 = 62.5)?

I bought this cheap Tao tao chinese 50cc bike, just for fun, and it has 100/60-10 tires on them. I called the tao tao parts department to ask what tires fit on them, because I can only find 3.0/10 or 3.5/10 online, and the mechanic said that 3.5/10 are the ones that will fit.
Is there any difference between those tires (eg: my 100/60-10 tires are very wide, will I receive thinner tires with the 3.5/10 size)?
Also, which tire would be one size larger that could possibly fit? (I'll have to measure clearance, but wanted to know which tire is a bit larger/wider).
According to calculation, a tire with a 1in larger outside diameter could get me upto 4MPH faster, a gain I definitely would want!

Another update; Funny but true, it was raining today, and the bike was outside for a while. When I drove off, the front brake worked like normal again, which leads me to believe there's either rust in the cylinder, or oil on the brakes. With the rain water, the cylinders might slide better, than without lubrication. I don't know if this makes any sense though...

I've never actually put 90 pounds of force on it, but if I squeeze the lever on the outside, i have to press it a little bit harder than usual (few pounds). Normal squeezing, or squeezing it on the beginning of the lever goes very hard, like about as hard as you'd squeeze a foam stress ball.
I was also thinking it could be the ABS system. Perhaps some of the pressure got into a reservoir, and is now pressing back against my normal brake use, however, it would make very little sense. There's definitely something wrong, I suspect with the brake cylinder, but since I don't know enough, I can't exactly tell what.
