I will just keep it for my 150 trike if needed. So is there anyone out there that can port match a 72cc brand new head to a manifold and spacer? they are just plain awful out of the box. if anyone knows of somebody that can match up a brand new head to a manifold and spacer I would really appreciate it. would like to change the springs out too.

Oh no,... That's just awful I feel so bad for him. It's a lousy way to find out but I guess I will have to find somebody else to do a very slight Port job on my gy6 head. sometimes guys like to get up to their shop and tInker around to get away from the wife,... but when you lose them it's a whole new ballgame

So I have a bit of time on my hands & have my 80 cc (72cc) kit. I hate the stock intake manifolds and bought a hoca all steel that elimates the spacer. I plan to have the head worked on with port matching and valve improvement before it gets installed. Why the hell is the diameter of the hoca 24 mm? Mainely Scooters replied that it increases the flow. How would it do this if the 'flow' is running into a ridge and head intake of about 17 mm? Would using this intake reduce necessary intake pressure a 72cc needs? Maybe I am missing something here???

It sounds like you should really be sure that the jets are truly open all the way. take the main out and hold it up to the light and see if its truly clear. The ethanol blends leave this almost amber ring in the jets and are slowly choking them. You may be getting fuel just fine but it takes some gas to run thru that residue ring to soften and open it up a bit,....hence hard starts,..then once it finally runs it has opened that ring build up in the jet so it runs pretty good for the day. then if you leave it for a few days,...that residual ring in the jet hardens like varnish Use Seafoam in your gas every time to prevent this and keep the jets clean Oh and if your main jet needed cleaning,...clean the pilot too Good luck

I have had a few issues with Scrappy's orders Lousy (and I mean god awful chrome China parts - not their fault..but the cvt cover I got was just deplorable and never should of been sent out) But when there is a problem,.they took care of it. But It does take a bit of initiative on your own part to get a resolution,...maybe it's a very busy place I have been sent wrong parts as well as received the out of stock emails when it said it was available online. Better to call it in and double check. Website is kind of a mess. Setup is not user friendly. But they have parts nobody else has as well as decent prices

I think it would be helpful to all riders if members could post their jet sizes (both main and pilot) along with their elevation and mods to a base list. Giving newcomers a starting point according to elevation is key to a smoother running scoot. If you look at most of the questions...this always comes up at some point and boy does it take a long time to get this info. Sure there may be some tweaking since we all live in different parts of the country...but a list such as the example I'm giving below would save everyone alot of time
2014 TAO TAO EVO 150cc gy6 (ATM150) EMISSIONS/PAIR SYSTEM ALL REMOVED PMC RACETECH EXHAUST/FREE FLOW FILLER STOCK MOTOR / NCY TRANS STOCK 24 mm CARB ELEVATION 215 FT ABOVE SEA LEVEL / EAST COAST/ MASSACHUSETTS MAIN JET 120 PILOT 38
So when you stop by for help here. .kindly take a moment to contribute to the list so the threads won't have to be roamed for hours I think easier access to this info would help a lot of people

Listen to Alley Mimi,...take your time,...the scoot won't start immediately after cleaning the carb,.. gas has to pump thru the petcock/vacuum fuel pump for a bit to start unless you prime it like Alley instructed,...there is a possibility that the petcock/fuel pump is bad,..but go step by step,...there is a free troubleshooting manual for the GY6 online if you need it,...it may even be here on the forum Alley can narrow it down quicker than anyone I have talked to,..but you have to be patient,...he is not there right with you to diagnose your problem and fix it in 20 minutes like he was next to your scoot,..he goes by what you tell him Tell him everything you can,..it will help him help you get back to scootin'!!

updated info for potential buyers the exhaust,..although throaty,..is way too small of a diameter for the 50cc I consistently got too much back pressure,..leading to clogged baffles and fouled plug I bought a NCY stainless exhaust,..chopped up the header to refit for the wider swingarm,...stock wont fit rejetted carb,..it worked out extremely well,...now the engine can breathe finally Also,...forget about customer service & replacement stock parts (like the body) from Bobcats Motorsports I have been emailing,..calling,...for 5 months for a rear box cover (mine got scratched) Beth the rep there is nice enough,..but her contact at IceBear in Cali is a complete disaster!!! I can't imagine the hundreds of people wanting parts and still waiting,...they claim a new person is at Icebear taking care of these orders and is trying to catch up,.....are you kidding me??? 5 MONTHS??? And checking in every 2 weeks?? So be careful with this dealer if you want to buy one Honestly,...don't even bother with the 50cc,...go with the 150 for a little more so you don't have to worry about power These 50cc's are listed as going 41mph,...which falls into the category of a motorcycle here in mass (limited use vehicle) needs to be insured & plates,...so get the 150,....it all costs the same with the 150cc

adding a rounded back tire helps ease cornering,...adding more than the embossed 15lbs of air on the stock rear flat helps a tad too what kind of element is in the air filter on this model? I have the 50cc,..only had an 1/8 " foam disc,...sure its free flowing,..but terrible for fine particles those mirrors are horrendous looking IMO,...changed mine to end cafe style mirrors for 16 bucks...soooo much better,...can see everything and doesn't look like antennas peering over the bars,..stock mirrors ruin the look of the bike since it is styled so much cooler all over

Your going to spend more time messing with this than just getting a rim,..some NYC shoes,..and a brake handle & cable Although it didn't mention drum brakes,..it is pictured as such You would have to have that rim machined,.not just ground down,..plus all the other measurements may change like driveshaft length If your not on the money,.wheel will be too tight or too loose,..thus making all that time and effort lost in mocking up,..and loss of money if it goes south,...making your project even more expensive
