I bought the Gy6 200 from scrappy, yes I know it is not a true 200. That isnt the concern. This engine is for rear drum brake systems which is not stated. I have a 12" rear disc rim. The hub on the rim is of a smaller diameter than the hub on the engine casing. If the hub has a flat surface to ride on ( I can grind smoothly the area) is this ok or does it HAVE to seat in the circular ridge. What can i do to make this work without buying a drum brake rim. I do not want drum brakes nor do i wish to switch out the hardware to do so.

Your going to spend more time messing with this than just getting a rim,..some NYC shoes,..and a brake handle & cable Although it didn't mention drum brakes,..it is pictured as such You would have to have that rim machined,.not just ground down,..plus all the other measurements may change like driveshaft length If your not on the money,.wheel will be too tight or too loose,..thus making all that time and effort lost in mocking up,..and loss of money if it goes south,...making your project even more expensive
