There were some over demand problems throughout 2012 but have been resolved. Any customer can get a refund on any backorder or for any reason whatsoever by simply calling 702-689-6035 or emailing service@scrappydogscooters.com i believe almost all backorders have been fulfilled up to this point. If yours hasn't, please contact us.

Dean, why wouldn't you call a supplier first to make sure they the item you want in stock?
I did and was told they were out but had more coming in. Waited and got the kick starter with no problem in less than a week. The only thing I could have complained about was the packing. Box looked like it had been through hell and back and a slight mark on the CVT cover because there was nothing to protect it. But because it was going on the 50cc I really wasn't worried about the looks to much.
Over all I'm happy with the part, the people, and service. Thanks Scappydog. And thanks to you Rapid Jim for suggesting I try them when you didn't have the part.

Dean I can't spell to save my life. As far as the 4pin regulator, any vendor you will buy it from, are not the ones that build/assembled them. There are a few configureations of the 4pin regulator. That is hit or miss, have ever thought maybe there is something else wrong with your scooter. I'm an electronic tech I have component level repair. Belive me the regulators look the same and are different. Number one rule in trouble shooting is never take anything for granted.
I will say this it is very frustrating working charging system problems .
I have a question for you. Did you open this thread to get help or just to vent . If your here to vent I will say this about Scrappy HE WILL MAKE GOOD ON IT.
If you want help to solve the problem I can help you.

I can show you posts on 3 forums where I pulled my hair out . Let me start looking . I found out after the fact that pre and post 07 scooters were different regulators for the most part . the pre 07 scooters used ballast resistors the post ones do not , then there are ones with two pins that are reversed . To put a twist on it the importers did not know this or were sneeky about it just to move units . So when you order a 4pin regulator you need to know if your scooter has ballast resistors . Did they put enough load to pull the voltage down and keep from blowing the bulbs . Did you maybe need to reverse two wires on the regulator plug ? Dean I know!!!!!!! Thank you for the offer for the regulator but I have a leftover pile of my own .

[replyingto=tvnacman]tvnacman[/replyingto]hey John I have been busy elsewhere lately but i appreciate the info. as to the ballast resistors I have seen them on the the shematic but rarely are they actually there . Don't know. What would like to know is there any way to check this with a meter and I suppose the one I have is good but for what? the one I put this on is an older model pre whatever so I would guess it would work for the newer. as an aside when this happened I wondered about fusing all the power lines any ideas on that? also should we move this conversation to another place and get more people in it?

I have had a few issues with Scrappy's orders Lousy (and I mean god awful chrome China parts - not their fault..but the cvt cover I got was just deplorable and never should of been sent out) But when there is a problem,.they took care of it. But It does take a bit of initiative on your own part to get a resolution,...maybe it's a very busy place I have been sent wrong parts as well as received the out of stock emails when it said it was available online. Better to call it in and double check. Website is kind of a mess. Setup is not user friendly. But they have parts nobody else has as well as decent prices
