" Happy Mothers Day" to all the lucky ladies out there. Sent my Mother 2 dozen roses and a card , plus I called her and told her that I love her . She is now 86 years young and still doing it on her own .

I ended up with a score of 94. I was more in the 60's but I saw a lot of cars in the 50's . Grandfather owned a 56 Chevy and I just loved to ride in it and he would tell me stories as he took me to get an ice cream cone or a root beer.

Be careful out there CC, those vultures are big and they would hurt for sure. Those big birds are protected by law and I don't know why. We have lots of them around here. I just about hit a turkey Friday evening as I was heading out to the highway and it was too close for comfort. I actually ducked as I saw something move out of the corner of my eye and herd wings flapping. It was close.......

Check out Motorcycle Super Store.com for your Tires . You give them your size tire and then click on the recomended tire store. Super store will send them the tires and when they get them in they will call you for an apointment. Call the shop that is going to change the tires and ask them how much $$ it will cost you to change out the tires. You did the right thing by changing out the tires. They are JUNK ! Well you said that you've changed the oil before, then you know how. $$$ saved . How about the gear lube, can you do this also ? Again $$$ saved. I would tell you to change the oil and the gear lube at the same time but I'm not going to for an obvious reason . Sorry , I couldn't help myself....... ;D Actually, If you did those 2 jobs that would take some of the time off at the shop. $$ Saved Now you know how they charge so you have to haggle with them if they want the job. Ask , How long will it take to change the oil ? They say 1/2 hr . You say, Too much how about 10 minutes ? Settle on 15- 20 . Same for everything that you have done on Fred .

The station that I'm going to start buying gas from has 90 octane . I haven't been there yet to buy gas but it won't be long. Mcalli, I think it is a law that they have to put a sticker on the pump that states the gas has ethenal in the gas. Where did you get the information that they didn't have to post it on the pump? John, I'm a firm believer in using sea-foam. I use this stuff every time I put gas in any motor. One cap full to every gallon of gas and I haven't had any trouble as far as carb troubles in the 10,000 miles I have on the scooter. Even though 'm going to switch gas, Im still going to use the Sea-foam , great stuff for motors. No, I'm not a salesman for SEA-FOAM................LOL'S

I found this post and I think it might save some scooters a lot of trouble and expense. ;D .pure-gas.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">.pure-gas.org I talked to a lawn mower repair man about ethenol in the gas that they sell in my area. !st he said , " Don't tell everyone cause it will hurt my busness ." He said that the ethenol will cause a build up in the carburator and all he does is remove the carb and clean it. He also stated that he had heard that people got better gas mileage with the strait 90 octane . The closest station near me that sells gas with no ethenol is 15 miles from me but when I go I will take a couple of 7 gal gas cans with me for the scoot and the boat motors. Thanks jct842 for the info . It will save me and alot of others problems and $$$$.

Lets say you just bought a new scooter. Now, how would you break in a new engine ? How many miles would you put on it before you change oil for the first time ? How many miles would you put on the scoot bfore you would change the gear oil ?

Todd, I do believe that it is your Enricher. First , start your engined run it till it dies. Second , take out the enricher, put your finger in the hole to block off the air and see if you can start your scoot. What happens ?

J.R. , Is the family Ok in Texas ? After watching the Weather Channel this morning I remembered that you have family around the Dallas area. Hope that they are doing ok and weren't envolved in the many twisters that they had .
