So top end rebuilt. Got it started right up. Problem is that now when it gets warmed up it starts spitting and sputtering then wants to die. As soon as it is all cooled off it will start up and run until it is warm and the same thing happens. Oh and once it dies after it is warm it will not start again. CDI is not warm at all. I thought that it might be getting hot and cutting out.

I know sometimes the ignition coil can go bad.

valve adjustment , recheck , did you tighten the intake manafold ? how long since it ran last . Could the pilot jet be restricted . Check the enrichener , read the plug .

It sounds like a lean condition. Like John says, it could be a blocked pilot jet or even a vacuum leak like around the intake manifold.

Todd, I do believe that it is your Enricher. First , start your engined run it till it dies. Second , take out the enricher, put your finger in the hole to block off the air and see if you can start your scoot. What happens ?

Well what have you found ? Did you walk away in frustration ? There is someone else in another thread with the same symptoms . Its a race for who solves the problem first . I will be away for vacation this week you have my interest on this problem . I was wondering if your loosing spark have you checked while the problem is happening ? Get can of compressed air (keyboard cleaner/blow job in can) turn it up side down spray your coil spray your cdi . If it overheated electrical it will cool it enough to run for a short spurt . When the problem is happening will it crank . Could the slide be stuck flooding the engine ? Just brainstorming (I know that was not the problem before) if it was electrical before it could be getting worse .
Good luck
John

Ok So I pulled the Enricher off. well Hooked up to battery and let sit for a bit it opened up just fine. Had a new one there replaced anyway. We ran up and picked up my Dads Linhai Pulled his CDI and tried that on mine Again ran fine until it got full running temp then started missing and sputtering. Felt coil it was not hot neither was CDI. Still possibly the coil the Linhai coil is not quite as easy to get to as it is on mine so did not test that one out. So can anyone point me to a good coil that will not break the Bank. The only one I have found is at Absoultly for $58 but I think that is a bit steep. I already know that one scrappy sells is 100% NOT CORRECT. This is the one I need. take a look at the pictures. absolutelyscooterparts.net/catalog/linhai-300cc-spark-plug-ignition-coil-p-752.html
