As I can remember, I was in grade school and as soon as the bell rang for school to be over I ran as hard as I could to see the Andy Griffith show. My grandmother would be sitting there with the tv on watching the show. She said that the show was one of the best family shows on tv. We would sit there and laugh at Barney and his 1 bullet that he had in his pocket. Just for fun : #1. Can anyone name the Barbor of the town Mayberry ? #2. How about the name of the town drunk ? #3. Who was the owner of the gas station ? #4. To most people in town Andy was known as Sheriff Taylor but to Opie he was known as .............? Yes, Andy will be missed by those who grew up in the 50's and 60's with the Andy Griffith Show.

I do believe this calls for a nice steak at OUTBACK Jack . With all the steamed veggies and a glass of fine wine. Congrats to the Misses.

I think the rocksalt might be waiting but if you pick up near the house , I'll watch your back from the other end of the garden. The rocksalt will only sting for a few minutes while the Miss-RN digs it out.

Hey M/C, I think you've got it ! When I caLL JR , he says that he's watering the garden but all he does is turn on the the water to the soaker hoses. I trhink it might be time to visit Arkie land to reap some of those veggies before they get canned. ( Pick me up on the way through )

Now , someone please explain to me , HOW DO YOU FILL THE COOLING SYSTEM SO IT DOESN'T LEAK ? I didn't even have the waterpump off the scoot and it is leaking . Going to tear this scoot down one more time in the morning to replace the cylinder , head, and the waterpump gaskets. All because of leaking oil and coolent.

Well , I've got the old , Red Scoot broke down to the cylinder again to find out why the scoot was smoken so bad and why I was using so much oil. ( Looked like a Skeeter Fogger headed down the road ). Found out the problem today. No , It wasn't the ring setting on the piston. The piston and rings looked great and the wear on the cylinder walls looked good also. No vertical scratches or burning on the walls. Replacing the rings after a honing on the cylinder. Now for the real problem....The valve seal on the exhaust valve was really loose. This let the oil leak past the valve stem and continue to be burnt as it went out the exhaust. There were plenty of signs as this was happening , lots of smoke as I was ridding and quite a lot of oil at the end of the of the muffler. Anyway, we're on the putting the scoot back together thing tomorow morning. Wish us good luck.

Yes , the rings were put in correctly according to the book. Staggered and all. 2nd ? Answer Yes , Im using about 1/2 quart at 150 miles. 3rd ? YEEEEEEEEP , Babbied the little sucker for about 100 miles + , @ 20- 35 mph and never at one steady speed for any length of time. I've already ordered parts and I should have them soon. Got any skeetters ? I can fog them and your garden at the same time.

Great ?

Great question for J.R. and Ally. When I start the scoot, you would think I'm going to fog for bugs and skeeters. After the scoot runs for a while , the smoke settles down . Today I ordered rings and a new valve kit. I was told that more than likley it was the valve seals. Ok guys give me your 2 cents.. Another ? is , Do I oil the valve stems when I put the head back together ?

Made me go out and look at my tires !!!! Went to a cycle shop the other day and asked them if they could change a tire on an aluminum rim . They said, " YEP " if I bring in just the tire and rim. How much ? $30.00 I didn't think that was too bad . Any input ?
