I took the tire and rim to a cycle shop and let them fix the tire. They tried several times to get the tire to seal against the rim but said that it leaked air and they couldn't fix it without putting a tube in it. Cost me $ 30.00 but it's holding air just fine. I know, I know , get out the tire tools and replace the tire. I'm going to wait till next year to do that. I forgot to ask for the tube size but I'll see that when I change the tire. Thanks for all the help on this one it really had me stumped.

Bob, I'm a firm believer in soap and water. Tire meets rim is where the leak is blowing little bubbles . Not just in one spot but all around the rim . I'm just wondering if it wasn't the dyna beads that I used the last time I changed a tire. That is why I was going to put a tube in. Everything else is fine , no leaks just one side of the front tire.

I've tried everything to fix the air leak between the tire and the rim on the front tire of the scoot. Now it's time to put a tube in the tire. Can anyone give me a tube size for a standard front wheel for a 13 inch wheel ?

I was putting on the bottom piece of plastic back on the scoot when piece of plastic that a screw goes through to hold it inplace snapped off. ? . is there a glue or some type of weld that I could use to fix this and get it back together ? These little tabs break off easy. There has got to be a way fix this instead of ordering a new bottom panel . Any ideas out there would be a great help .

August 5 th, This morning I woke up to the sound of thunder and lightning. Yes, it rained. 1 and 1/4 inch of water in the rain guage. I am happy as a lark singing in the medows. Why did it rain you ask ? I washed the car, scooter, and took my monthly shower and maybe some help from folks here on " The Scooter Professor ". Well, I don't know if that was the reason it rained , but that was the only thing I could come up with. Today's high is only 88 degrees with clouds. That will be a change from the high 90's. As soon as the garden dries a little, I'm going to start the fall planting, turnips , cabbage, and some leaks. Lets see what happens.

Well Jack, I am getting some tomatoes, red and yellow and a few cherry. The rest of the garden just hasn't produced. A lot of hard work for nothing. I'm really starting to get worried about the well. It hasn't went dry yet but all the trucks around here have a water tank in the bed and they are hauling water every day. Not a good sign. Like I've said before, I haven't had a measureable rain since March 3rd 2012. I've seen storms go north of me ( Alleys area , Windy City ) east of me ( Circle City ) and of course South of me , But it just keeps getting dryer here every day. There was no second cutting of hay. The clover is completly dead. ( The bees need clover to make honey ) The flowers of the plant are as brown as the dead grass in my yard. In my life time , I have never seen this. It is very frightning to see leaves die on the trees before the fall colors but hopefully the trees are still alive. The walnut trees usually start loosing there leaves in the middle of August but they started about 2 weeks ago . I don't care what it takes , Prayer, Dance , wash your scoots, cars and boats. I need help of some kind to make it RAIN , RAIN , RAIN .

I's still too hot here and still no rain. Come on J.R. Do that rain dance you did a couple of years ago. I need at least 10 inches of rain just to keep up. Yes, we're that far behind on rainfall. All the rain in my area has been North or South of us. We haven't had a drop of rain . My garden has had it even though I have watered it . The only thing I'm going to get is some tomatoes and that's it ....

water pump

Thanks J.R for the information. That's is a lot of help . I ordered a new water pump and We've installed it this morning before it got too hot. Everything works great with no leaks. This was an experiance as I had a leak and couldn't figure out where a leak was comming from. Well , guess what. These water pumps have a hole in them just like an automobile. When the seal goes bad, the antifreeze exits that little hole . You can't see it lying down but if you take the water pump off and look , the hole is on the bottom side if the pump. As for replacing the old parts and replacing them with the new I have found a dealer that has replacement parts. Try Big and Little Scooter Parts , They have a lot of scooter parts that fit a 250 Jonway and a lot of these parts will fit a Roketa 250-B. Thanks for the input Trvstlh. I'll look up the sight on YouTube . I think I'm going to replace the old parts in the used pump so I have a replacement water pump on hand. Diddo on the guys that help on this forum . You Just Can't beat them !

I've noticed that you can by the parts to fix your water pump wnen it goes bad or you can buy the water pump as a whole which would be easer just to install. Is there a video about taking the old parts out of the pump and replace them with the new parts ?

Ok guys, yesterday I pulled all my onions and all the weeds that were in the 5 rows. Why did I pull them you asked ? Because it's dry, plain and simple. I have never seen it this dry. Wabash river is very low, never seen it as low as it is. We haven't had 1 inch of rain since March 3rd. Anyway, I pulled the weeds and onions and after that I thought I'd go ahead and till . With the tiller running as hard as it would go, I raised one heck of a dust storm. As long as I water the plants I'm going to have some veggies but if I stop, I'm going to loose everything. Now I'm going to give everyone a little hint. The corn crop is taking a beating with this heat. So , that means that the yield will be very low. Anything that is made out of corn will be higher at the grocery store. Cereal , Beef , corn syrup , milk etc. Look on the lable to see if your food products are made of corn in some way or other because it's going to go up in price. Some of these products you can stock up on now so you don't have to pay a high price later. Just trying to give a little heads up , Scooterran
