An exellent story teller, very good actor, country humor at its funniest and cleanest, and a fine singer. Very few left like him. He will be missed.

Who remembers the name of his series in 1979 and what was it about? Only lasted one year but I watched every episode.

It was kind of stupid but I enjoyed watching it. Doesn't take much to entertain me.

Didn't they use a cement mixer for their capsule and have some G-man that was always trying to bust them for one thing or another? Awe, the 70's, no blood, guts, shooting or bad language. Just fun to watch. If it involved space I watched it! (and yes, I'm only 28 damn it) ;D Great person and already missed. M/C

As I can remember, I was in grade school and as soon as the bell rang for school to be over I ran as hard as I could to see the Andy Griffith show. My grandmother would be sitting there with the tv on watching the show. She said that the show was one of the best family shows on tv. We would sit there and laugh at Barney and his 1 bullet that he had in his pocket. Just for fun : #1. Can anyone name the Barbor of the town Mayberry ? #2. How about the name of the town drunk ? #3. Who was the owner of the gas station ? #4. To most people in town Andy was known as Sheriff Taylor but to Opie he was known as .............? Yes, Andy will be missed by those who grew up in the 50's and 60's with the Andy Griffith Show.
