Ok So I have always had this issue with my Jonway that I can not run flat out at 55 mph for over say 12 miles for the Chino temp guage to come up to about 3/4. I do not think it is ever hot but always makes me nervous so I do not ride it to work for my 60 mile one way trip to work there is just way to much traffic and I need to sustain 55 mph for most of my trip. Well with the nice weather the last couple of weeks my dad has had my scooter and I have had his Linhai. He has a 17 mile trip to where he goes 3 times a week and most of that is back roads that he can run 45-50 mph which is great for my jonway as We have made many LONG day runs 200 ish miles and as long as I ran it at 45-50 mph the temp never comes above the halfway mark and the fan hardly ever comes on.
So today I am talking to my dad on the phone Like I do most days on my way home from work and he says I Kinda like this scooter it is a bit easier for me to handle and works out well for what I need how about we just trade. So I now have a 2006 Linhai mainstreet 260 and My dad has a 2009 Jonway YY250T.
Not that it really makes any difference is there is no title transfers that need to be made, because all of our scooters are in Both of our names anyway.... LOL

Need to change with the insurance companys. If you both have the same I C . It will be easy... Basically NOTHING changes..... All of our INS is through the same company and they are in both our names.... LOL so as far as DMV and INS goes there is nothing different. The only difference is which garage they are getting parked in.

Good for you and your Dad, Todd. Sounds like a win-win situation.

The gauges on the Chinese scooter are merely animated decorations to get DOT approval. You may very well not have had an overheating issue.
