Batteries Plus wants $80 to $140 for the 14Ah best I can recall, depending on warranty (best is two years), so yeah, pricey. First after-action report: got the fan installed this morning. Good news is the mounting holes were exactly like the OEM fan, no creativity required. In fact, the two fans looked virtually identical, sure hope after all this I didn't already have a low amperage fan! Bad news is that, while I could just barely get at the fan from the front, enough to remove the two bolts and be able to pull it out from the bottom, the darn CONNECTOR was way the bejeezus up under the black center plastic that covers fuel tank, etc. So I wound up removing a bunch more screws and bolts so I could pull that plastic up enough to do what needed doing. Never did get it completely off, something underneath still holding it. But a minor side benefit was, I discovered some loose and missing bolts and screws and was able to tighten them again with plenty of LocTite where appropriate. Haven't run the scoot yet with the new fan, waiting for my new left switch assembly to arrive in the mail while I still have things pretty well opened up. I can see the nine-wire connector up underneath there, so I'm thinking that'll be an easy swap-out. Also still need the four LED bulbs for the turn signals, after which time to see if the charging system looks any better. If not, only thing left is an on/off switch for headlights, or that expensive gorilla battery, or both. This darn $2K scooter will be up to $3K pretty soon at this rate! Oh, while messing around I also discovered that overflow hose from the radiator system that you posted about, and at the loose end it actually had a clamp on it, as if it was supposed to attach somewhere, but I saw no possibilities for that, so just left it dangling. yes its to bad I wonder why they don't put kick starts on these anymore ,I guess the 2008 had them ,I would have liked to have the back up ,an at first thought I did have it as the add said it ,they had to take that off,i would imagine the 14a is costly ,I was thinking about the 12a about 45,00 ,have you hear about others having charging problems with these 250s ,I guess I am thinking I may have issues too ,though mabey not ,I am pretty sure we have couple of the newer ones could try with radiator in front ,could try youtube ::X04::

hear IS WHEAR I HAD MINE APART COULD TRY TAKEING OUT THE FRONT SHIELD 4 SCREWS,YOU MAY HAVE TO ,TAKE THE SIDE PEACES OFF BUT COULD TRY THAT ,THEN ITS 4 BOLTS ON THE RADIATOR ITSELF THE FAN WAS 2 I THINK BOLTS TO0. MABEY THIS HELPS I WAS THINKING HAD A LEAK WAS MY OVERFLOW ,LOOKS LIKE WHEN YOU GET THE FRONT BLACK SHEILD OFF THEN YOU COULD DESIDE IF YOU CAN GET THEN ,ON MY 2013 I COULD REACH ALL 4 BOLTS TO THE ,RADIATOR ,YOU MAY HAVE TO DRAIN RADIATOR ,BUT MAY SAVE SOME TIME IF YOU JUST TRY TAKEING RADIATOR OUT ,THE 2 HOSES ON BOTTOM I THINK AN THE 4 BOLTS ARE ALL THAT HOLDS IT IN THERE AN ONE CONNECTORTHE FAN IS ON THE BACK SIDE .HAVE YOU THOUGHT ABOUT USEING A MORE POWERFUL BATTERY SCOTT

after researching I think the more powerfull battery may solve a lot of complicated issues ,there selling us cheap parts why not a cheap battery,I know guys they don't do anything but put there toys away ,don't even take the battery out while storeing it ,in spring carbs gummed up flat tire couse they did not check the air I think preventive maint to me is commen sence I guess some just got other things on there mind ,then they wonder why its dead after the first year, that seems pretty good ,amount of time ,yes every now an then I guess we get a bad one ,but I think it has a lot to do with who owns it an how we take care of it , 8-|actually I am surprised but I guess if a lot of guys are getting what they need from a 9ah that is all that mnatters

I was wondering should I upgrade the battery ,I plan on running a power inverter ,that hooks right up to battery ,having poweroutlet .my thought was to tender it when I use a lot of power ,cell phone ,I also plan on hooking up under seat stereo ,an adding speakers to the rear trunk an mabey lighting ,,I plan to change the fuse to the plug in new style an 20 amp fuse.i see all kinds of batterys on ebay ,it seems 35.00 is the going price average ,I guess the 9a 12v may work ,what would you guys do or have done already .how long has your Chinese battery lasted an the best route to take ,I used to run a 200 watt stereo on my 06 dl1000 it was a handle bar mounted had butt lighter to ,an just ran it straight off the battery the sound system on thse are loud but don't seem to have bass ,the one on my dl was louder then the dual scorpion exhaust.? does this use a more powerful one then a 150 I am thinking probley not ,so its few questions ,thanks everyone 8-|I like that one ,

I bought the Shiko sr429 (L rated) for my scooter and they are really great, You're going to love them. I paid almost double the shinko price for my last tire, a Michelin, and though it was a great ride they didn't even last 3,000. Hoping for more out of the Shikos. I LIKE THIS I SEE THEM ON EBAY FOR ABOUT 50 EACH ,I AM NOT SURE SOME SEEM TO MUCH ,I KNOW THE DUNLOPS I HAD THE DL 650 AN 1000 AN THEY WERE ABOUT 90 EACH AT THAT TIME I GUESS I COULD NOT SEE PAYING 100 FOR SCOOTER TIRE FROM CHINA ATLEAST THIS POINT ,I LIKED THEM ,COUSE THEY LIKED THE SAND ,AN THERE AGRESSIVE LOOKS TOO SEEM TO BE FINE AFTER ABOUT 100 MILES I LIKE THE TREAD PATTERN SIMMULAR THANKS
