new member currently purchased a 2010 zongshen 150 with just under 250 miles i got it to work after cleaning the carburetor checking the vacuum lines and fuel lines as well as new spark plug and fresh gas. previous owner let it sit for 4 months. Still reading over the forum and hope to find a scooter club somewhere in my area of south Florida. Welcome to the forum good to have you and good job on getting it up and running. Yes not starting a scooter for months and leaving the gas in it will varnish up the carbs and they will need to be cleaned out along with maybe a new battery. Good to have you on here Alleyoop

250T with the Honda clone 244cc If you have a 12 or 13 inch rear wheel it should be a 918x22.5x30. If you have a 10 inch rear wheel it should be a 828-22.5-30

Looking at the fuses is not good enough you have to test them many look good but they are bad: Get yourself a Volt Meter and a 12V light Tester: Harbor freight has them really cheap. You can use the 12V light tester and test each side of the fuse to see if juice is flowing through it. If it is the light tester will light up. Do you have a SOLENOID with a fuse on it? It will look like this if you do:

You connected the jumper wires to the wrong terminals if it sparked and everything went dead. Hopefully it only blew the fuse check the fuse and or fuses. Which motor is in there the 244 helix vertical or the linahi horiziontial motor. Or if you can tell us if the SOLENOID has a 20A fuse on it and wires going to it. If not then check the fuse coming off the positive battery post it should be a 15a it is probably blown. Or yours may have a Fuse box with fuses to feed different things on the scoot. Alleyoop Does yours look like this under the seat if so under that cap are the fuses.

Sounds like a bad ground someplace because when you squeeze the brakes what is happening it is grounding out on the frame. So Check the ground wires: ground wire from motor to frame, ground wire going to the CDI. ground wire from the stator, ground wire from battery to frame etc.. Now most of the ground wires will be green wires the only one that may not be green is the battery to the frame and the ground wire from the motor to the frame all others will most likely be GREEN. If it starts and runs on starter fluid then it is just a fuel delivery problem. So first thing is to check if while cranking fuel is getting to the carb and filling the bowl up. To test that open the bowl drain and crank it and fuel should keep coming out while cranking. So now you know the fuel is filling the carb bowl but no fuel is being sucked out into the motor. So now you need to clean the carb, take it off and unscrew the jets pilot and main and make sure all the holes are clear. Now spray carb cleaner into the holes that the jets screwed into and spray should come out by the butterfly and the needle inside the carbs venturi. Once all that is clear and open then turn the fuel ratio screw clockwise until it stops and then turn it out 2 1/2 turns counter clockwise and install the carb. Once it starts and stays running you can fine tune the fuel ratio mixture to get the highest idle then you can lower the idle using the IDLE SPEED screw. Alleyoop IF it is a CVK Carb found on 4 strokes use this procedure: thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/thread/3001/4-stroke-carb-tuningIF it is a SlIDER Carb found on 2 strokes THROTTLE CABLE GOING INTO THE TOP OF THE CARB use this procedure: thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/thread/3002/2-stroke-carb-tuning?page=1&scrollTo=23302

Very Nice and very neat installation Martin, good job and thank you for putting up the Videos. Many will eat that up and follow the install. Again Thank you for taking the time and effort to Video the entire install, I know it takes time and effort to do it. Oh by the way the 2nd Video is marked as private and does not play. Alleyoop

Well we are back, had a death in the family and wake is today and funeral tomorrow so we had to cut the vacation for the month short. Got the call Wed at around 5pm we called my son and he came over and helped us pack and we then left at 8:00 pm drove to Lake City Florida got there at 12:30am got a room at Red Roof got up at 6:00 and hit the road at 6:45am. Drove all Day Thursday stopping only to fill up with gas every 350 miles or so and stretch the bones. We lost 2 hours due some construction at night along the way and it was bumper to bumper down to one lane. We would have made it home at around 8:00 PM yesterday but we got in at 10:00pm due to the bumper to bumper construction in some spots. I was hauling put the SRX in cruise 80+ and I was eating up the miles and asphalt. But we made it safe and sound for this evening's wake and the funeral tomorrow. Alleyoop
