I have a 2008 CF Moto E-Charm (CF150T-5A) and have been dealing with this issue for some time (couple years).
-Intermittent sputtering, cut-out, bogging down anywhere from 10% to 75% throttle. -HERE IS THE CATCH: If I engage the break (pull it just far enough for the electrical connection to engage for the break light) than the cutting out stops. I can then ride with the break light engaged and no cut-out. -Sometimes when I release the break while still pulling throttle, the cutting out doesnt return; sometimes it does. -Rarely the scooter will completely shut off and not re-start immediately; but has happened a few times recently. If I wait a few minutes, roll it around, etc., it will start.
What I've Done: -replaced spark plug -replaced ignition coils -Battery is new
Has anyone had similar issues or able to offer a solution based on the above? THANKS!

Sounds like a bad ground someplace because when you squeeze the brakes what is happening it is grounding out on the frame. So Check the ground wires: ground wire from motor to frame, ground wire going to the CDI. ground wire from the stator, ground wire from battery to frame etc.. Now most of the ground wires will be green wires the only one that may not be green is the battery to the frame and the ground wire from the motor to the frame all others will most likely be GREEN. Alleyoop,
Thanks so much for the quick reply! I will search around for all of the grounds tomorrow and report back. Hopefully I find them all.
