I have my cars insured with USAA, including roadside for all vehicles, but they do not cover scooters or cycles at all. So I had my scoots with Progressive the first year, they did have it for an extra buck a year, but their premium overall was 50% higher than GEICO, which I have now. But GEICO only offers roadside if you also take comprehensive and collision, which I opted not to do on a <$2000 scooter. So right now if either of my scoots craps out in the middle of nowhere, I'm kinda hosed; don't even own a trailer I could use to bring it home, and wouldn't have a place to store a trailer even if I bought one. I saw an ad recently for a company called AutoVantage, nothing but roadside asst coverage, but they said they don't cover scoots/cycles either, only cars and trucks.
Does anybody know of a company that offers JUST roadside asst insurance for scooters?

No, but as an option you might want to look into renting a trailer. I would think you could rent a trailer pretty cheaply if you needed it.

Two scoots were costing me about $150 a year with Progressive, right at $100 with Geico, same coverage except for the roadside assistance with Progressive/not with Geico. Also, since one or the other scooter is in storage at any given time, it annoyed me that Progressive didn't have any kind of a seasonal/storage option. Full-year coverage, not using the scoot half of that year, tough noogies. (Geico doesn't either, but way cheaper rate makes up for that.)
Probably renting a trailer is going to be my fallback for scooter breakdowns, though if it happens on a holiday or at sunset on a Saturday, could be difficult to find one. I'm looking at some folding trailers at Harbor Freight that might let me store a trailer in my already crowded garage. Could also probably be useful for other occasional hauling.

Apparently I hit the wrong key a while ago. I put a post on here, I thought.
Well, anyway, what I posted but no discussion this time, was that I had Progressve and when I moved to Arizona I found AllState to have less expensive scooter insurance. So right now I am happy. But need to look closer at what AllState offers and what others offer. May want to change. .

I'm not sure of your numbers You say Geico is $150 a year full coverage with tow service ? Progressive is $100 just minimum liability no tow ? A separate tow/roadside assistants is like $40 . The way to go is clear $150 full coverage with tow for $150 sounds correct and not a bad deal .

Progressive was $75 per scoot (AZ minimum liability only) plus a buck for roadside; Geico is $50 per scoot for the same thing but doesn't offer roadside unless I also sign up for collision and comp. I don't want or need anything more than basic liability; if my <$2K Roketa gets trashed, c'est la vie, time to buy another one, and I have my medical insurance needs covered in other ways. If Geico would offer roadside for a buck like Progressive I'd sign up for it in a heartbeat, but they don't. And as far as I've been able to discover, nobody offers roadside only, for scooters and cycles.

We use Good Sam roadside assistance and it covers the motor home, car and Honda. Only thing I've ever needed was for flat tires because Big O installed balancing beads and did not install the special valve cores that came with them. About 100 per year for all three.

I have Good Sams and AAA RV Plus. Looking at the AAA, they tow anything you are driving or riding. The Plus covers 4 tows per year up 100 miles each tow. I've never used either of them since I have a motorcycle trailer but it's something I'm going to look into since I do take the scooter trike with me on my RV. A couple of phones calls are cheap enough to find out. AAA also has insurance so it would be good to check them out.

Okay, looks like unless I want more than basic liability I'm not gonna find roadside coverage offered as a stand-alone. So be it. That folding trailer from Harbor Freight is looking better and better.

well I guess it depends on how you look at it to me all the prices I see except a few are cheap ,think about the aggrivation of having to get a ride home to get the scooter ,meens getting someone to pick you up hooking up the trailer paying the gas it takes lets say your 100 miles out ,bring you home to get your trailer meanwhile someone could throw your scooter in the back of there truck, with the time you spent ,why not just keep what you had ,you should be able to drop them down the min when stored . when not using it ,bye the time you have done all that ,your scooter is picked up an most drivers will give you a ride to ,what your talking about doing could take hours ,instead of an hour , 8-|but what do I know I think just haveing roadside incase is the way to go ,an the added extras for 110.00 I thought It would cost more but it goes bye how much the scooter cost ,having the much needed comp helps if someone steals you scooter ,the liability for hiting another couse you never know ,an uninsured motorist ,for the one who knocks over your scooter ,then its covered ,did you call AAA for there roadside program for anyone

Nah, I have roadside for my cars via USAA, if the scoot breaks down I'll just call them and get the number of the closest towing outfit they recommend, and pay the bill myself. Won't kill me.

Try AMA (American Motorcycle Assoc.) Their yearly membership includes road side assistance.
