the hoses on there, are probably the chinese junk that came with the scoot....I replaced mine when doing my pdi & that was in 2008 & 20500 mile later they still look great.....I also went with a electronic fuel pump that I purchased at the nearby napa auto parts store....It's a fuel pump for a riding lawn mower......

I have 20500 mile on mine & have never replaced anything, but the spark plug & the regular maint stuff when it comes to the engine..I have adjusted the valves twice in that time & it's still running strong....I change my oil every 1000 miles...

if your valves were adjust & you have no compression,I would say it's possible that on of the valves aren't closing...Did you line up your timing marks on your crank & cam? You must have it at TDC (top dead center) before adjusting the valves....The video that JR has is a very good tool.....

Looking for the gasket that goes between the exhaust pipe & head.... I found this one and it looks like it will fit, would like to know what you guys think....http:// .partsforscooters.com/180-146-Exhaust-Pipe-Gasket....I.D. 26mm, O.D. 38mm, Thickness is 4.5mm... It says it's for the 172mm honda clone,do they have the same size exhaust port???

I'm not talking about gluing panels together..I'm talking about gluing the broken tabs back on to the panel they came off of...You would do this after removing the panels, not doing in with the panels still on the scoot...

trailheadmike, I've had mine off on my 250b & believe it or not,the handle bars are welded not bolted to the front forks....I have often woundered how good the welds are.....I have 20500 miles on it & for the most part I have never had any problems...I do tear it down every spring & do what ever has to be done & replace anything that needs to be replaced....

Has anyone ever tried using a hot glue gun to fix your broken plastic??? I did it today & it seems to be stronger then the the plastic it's self...Will,let you know more when I go to put it together tomorrow.....I have 2-54b's & each had a tab broke off the side panels that run along the bottom front & also one of the same panels had a broken piece thats screws to the grill in the front of the radiator...It seems to be very strong, like I said I will let you all know when I put them together tomorrow...Rcq78
