I have check everything...I can not find anything...I've been working on this problem for 2 weeks & have look at & try everything....The second time I pulled off the carb the main jet was atleast 1/2 plug with somekind of junk...I thought that would have fixed it,but it didn't...thought maybe it was the coil, but nope....I have looked & looked & can't see or find anything out of place or unhooked,or to close to exhaust to melt off the insulation....I idles & runs great until your up to 55-65 for a 1/2 mile streach, then it falls flat on it's face....Bob

alleyoop, you mean sealing it like J.R. said, I already did that with no luck...??where would I order just the diaphram from??? I found a whole rebuild kit... Now how positive are you about this being the problem...I don't mind ordering parts, but i've ordered parts that don't seem to be the problem...Whats funny it ran fine before I tore it down to replace some swingarm bushings...I hope to god I can get it fixed with out taking it to a shop.....Bob

well,I turned out the a/f mixture screw another half turn & still the samething...it just falls flat on it's face at 55-65 mph (if you know what I mean)...it stalls when I pull over to get power back, but starts right back up & idles fine....So,do you guys think it's in my carb??? It really feels like it's starving for gas,but what else can I try?

all fuel & vac lines were replaced with goodyear hoses..I did a full pdi on this scoot when it was new... Well,J.R. It didn't work...I cleaned the carb yesterday & turned the a/f mixture screw out only 2 turns...I'm going to turn it out another 1/2 turn & see what happens...I'm running out of things to check or do.....

Ok,Thanks J.R... so do I take the plastic pieces apart or just apply silicone to them??? If this don't work,do you think it could need the valves adjusted?? I adjusted them about 2000 miles ago...

Yes I have....didn't see anything, with the naked eye...how would you find a pin hole??? this scoot ran great a month ago..I then tore it down to do some work on the swingarm bushings..Then put it back together & on the first ride,it starts doing this.....I did have the airbox off to work on swingarm bushings....

I know it's not the cdi,I switch it out from another scoot of the same model.....I just tore the carb & intake off & ran a bead of silicone around the oring on the intake & the spacer between the intake & engine...I check the airbox for cracks & look to have one between the box & the pipe that goes to carb,so I ran silicone over that area....Now,it's loses power at the same speed 55-65 & yes the rpm's drop...now when you stop to get power back it stalls, before it would idle ok....it still idles ok,once you restart it.....I'm going to adjust the a/f mixture...seems to be running lean now...Bob

I'm happy for you Bob....wish I could get my issues fixed...my 54b bogs down when I hit 55-65..it loses all power for a short time then will pick back up & do it again down the road.....seems to run good on stand for the most part...I've been working on this for 2 weeks..replaced coil, fuel filter, cleaned carb twice, cleaned air filter & still the same.....Think I may see a crack in the airbox where the pipe going to carb goes into it...going to take it apart again today....I hope to get some help on this site like you did.....Bob

I have a 54B...It ran great a month ago...3weeks ago I took it apart to do some work on the swingarm bushings..After putting it back together & taking it for a ride,it now loses power at 55-65 mph...I have cleaned the air filter, replaced the coil, cleaned carb, the spark plug looks like it did the day I installed it...I also replace the fuel filter...I have pulled the carb off twice & cleaned it..still losing power...I hope someone can help me here...Thanks Bob This is really passing me off that nothing seems to work,no matter what I try....I hope someone can come up with a fix...PLEASE Update..looked to be a crack in the airbox where it meets the tube that goes to the carb...So I siliconed it..just took it out for a ride & when you get going 55-65 for a strech it falls flat on its face...the motor just loses all power, but don't stall, when you come to a stop it idles fine 1800rpm's....there is not or sputtering, just flat,
