Very nice. What size engine is that? Love the wider wheels!
Question- How hard would it be to put rims that wide on a 250 chinese scooter? Is it even possible to do?

Any 10/40 but using a motorcycle 10/40 oil, which is meant for hotter engines, is good also.

Your bike has to be equipped for a windshield attachment. The windshield has to be curved. I don't believe that you can just cut one out of plastic. We will wait and see what others say.
Your best bet would be to order one for the brand of your bike from a dealer. They will send you the correct one.

Well, I just came from my first physical therapy session. The physical therapist said if I work real hard, I will get about 80 percent back. And it is ONLY going to take about 12 more weeks! The pain was (and is) intense. The hand is still grossly swollen and still bruised. I am not going to go back to my part time job for some time now so money will be tight. But, the good news is that I will have Saturdays free for a while so I will be able to help out with some church activities (limited to one hand). We have a huge outreach program going out to single mom's and children in the area on the 13th where we are giving out school supplies, school clothes, food, etc. We are going to have activities for the school children such as face painting, wall climbing, clowns, games, etc. I will now be able to help at that. (my left hand can do miracles on face painting! lol ;D

Another 50 years is great, but you really do need to show each other you appreciate each other with a gift. After all 57 years is worth celebrating. I would recommend jewelry. Probably a ring. Nice symbolism there about promising til death do you part.

A PDI is a preliminary dealer inspection. They inspect the bike, screws, wiring, tires, fluids, etc to make sure that the bike is ready to go. Most dealers who sell chinese bikes don't really do much of an inspection so it is up to the owner to do it or get a motorcycle mechanic to do it. If it is a chinese scoot, the oil, gear oil, and radiator fluid (if it has one) should be changed. The spark plugs and the fuses should be changed out, the tires should be filled to the proper pressure, the battery should be checked out, and the engine idle may have to be adjusted. The air ratio may have to be adjusted on the carborator. etc. PDI.

I posted this at the end of another thread (its dead). We were talking about aging and scooting. Wolfhound made a comment about his age. (He will still be going strong (on a trike) when he is 90- take my word for it.
But I had a sudden inspiration, then visioned it. lol All of us retired old foogies ought to buy trikes, meet somewhere on the east coast, then do a cross country trip some summer. Imagine 100 of us oldsters, on trikes, "headin down the highway, lookin for adventure". Interstate 70 with 100 trikes. lol People would take notice! I can picture it now! (it would be fun, wouldn't it? California, here we come!
Only 3 requirements to participate: must have trike that is highway legal, must be retired, must be 62 or older!

thanks jr. me too. unfortunately, we do not travel. My church is the "Grove City Church of the Nazarene". We have 3 services in the winter with a total attendance of about 3 thousand every Sunday. In the summertime, we only have 2 services. I love our music group and I love our church. It is filled with terrific people. jr If you and your family (or anyone else on this site) are ever in Ohio let me know and I will make sure you have front row seats!
I am in the first row of the soprano section. short blond hair, thin, chesty, can't remember what I wore that Sunday. Either a gray, white, pink argle sweater (light cotton knit), or a pinstripped shirt. I will have to look at the video again. Any way, camera passes over me several times but it is quick. I almost have a hard time finding myself!!!
When it is my turn to be upfront on stage I will let you know so you can see me more clearly!

This is my church praise and worship team, of which I am a member. I sing. Any way.The main singer for this song is Travis (our fearless leader in all things music to our Lord). This is areally great song. It will lift you up!
BTW there is no breaking of forum rules because there is not, nor will there be a discussion of religion. This is my church group (look for me, I am in there)doing one of my favorite songs.
If you care to comment about my music group, your comments are welcome! We have a terrfic time! if you do not want to listen to a Christian song, I understand.

That is my plan!!!! May be a trike or side car by then so I wont fall over like the old guy on Laff In !! May have to be riding at theat age if gas prices keep going up as rapidly as they are now. PS: At 90 I may not be doing any thing safely or competently.!!! 8^) Don't underestimate yourself! 90 is now the equivalent of 70 in years past! Just like 60 is the new 40! I would not be the least bit surprised to see you out hoofing around on a trike when you are 90. (When you are 90 I will be 78, no doubt I will be in a trike then also.) All of us who are retired should buy trikes, meet up somewhere on the east coast, and do a trip across the US on trikes. If there were 100 of us old geesers on trikes going across the county, think of the message we would be sending. I think people would stop to look at 100 old people on trikes going down the highway. I can just picture it. lol Just headin down the highway on interstate 70!
