I feel the same way. I will ride until I can ride no more. I think my next purchase will be a trike. My legs are weak due to neuropathy from a bad back so eventually, it will be a trike but I will never stop riding.

God bless you, Wolfhound. I hope you are still riding(and riding safely and competently) at ninety.

Jr, I love to cook. I don't use any recipes. I season and experiment, I never measure, just throw in what i think it needs. Always turns out good. It is one of the talents given to me by God, and sorely put on a back burner (pun intended) till my hand heals (ever try chopping onion with one hand?) If I was young again, I probably would have gone to culinary school instead of nursing, and opened my own gourmet restaurant. I hate doing dishes though. (Thank heavens for automatic dishwashers). Of course, if I had my own restaurant, someone else would be doing cleanup. ;D

Well, due to boredom i decided to retire to the kitchen. yesterday i made 6 loaves of bread and 24 dinner yeast rolls. all completely homemade. (with my left hand, lol) fortunately for me, i have a machine that kneads dough because with one hand, bread making would be impossible. Friends and relatives benefited from this sudden burst of inspiration.
JR, m/c indicated in a thread that you are a prize winning jelly and jam maker. too bad we don't live closer to each other. we could have a booth at the fair where we sold homemade jams and bread and really clean up!

thanks jr. i know it will be painful. I would be crying from pain now, if i were a weaker woman. pain is unbelievable. only thing keeping me going is knowing that it will go away in time, gradually.

Thank you all. They are coming up for a visit in sept. so i am excited about that. Bill and Robin also have a blue eyed, blond haired beauty (I may be a tad partial) named Katelyn, age 4, and a handsome little guy, named Ryan, age 2. They are just a blast and I can't wait to see them all.
God has blessed me so much in my life time. I am eternally grateful!

Well, the cast came off of my right hand and arm yesterday. stitches are out. lots of ugly incision scars. hand very swollen, discolored. pain. movement- next to nothing. can't even hold a glass. start physical therapy next monday. doctor says i will get most, if not all, of my use of hand back. so that is good news. he also said mt hand would get pretty again over time (looking at my hand now, that is hard to believe).
I go out to the garage every day and start my bike up and let it run for 5 minutes or so. Doctor says I am probably finished riding for the season, but maybe not!
