Well, I just came from my first physical therapy session. The physical therapist said if I work real hard, I will get about 80 percent back. And it is ONLY going to take about 12 more weeks! The pain was (and is) intense. The hand is still grossly swollen and still bruised. I am not going to go back to my part time job for some time now so money will be tight. But, the good news is that I will have Saturdays free for a while so I will be able to help out with some church activities (limited to one hand). We have a huge outreach program going out to single mom's and children in the area on the 13th where we are giving out school supplies, school clothes, food, etc. We are going to have activities for the school children such as face painting, wall climbing, clowns, games, etc. I will now be able to help at that. (my left hand can do miracles on face painting! lol ;D

Hey know what ya mean on the painting my two grandkids love to paint! Boy it's been awhile since this old timer went/took a kid to pee wee football but today was the first practice for my 9 year old grandson and he has never played a down of football.
He's in the 4th grade and his new team had 12 other kids all wh have never played but some at least knew how to throw and do other things, the little school is a big football orientated school.
So I didn't know what to expect didn't even know if he would stay through one practice? Don't have to worry about that now, they started checking the kids to see how well they could throw a football and he blew everyone's mind! Again never played the game a bif baseball fan he is.
Before the day was over he was playing quaterback and zipping the ball around right on target as well as the 6th grade kid and caught everyone's attention, myself I was/am in shock!
He's got the most perfect delivery and throw you'll ever see and the ball is a perfect spiral when he lets it go! Tom Brady move over!
OK enough on that, yes I was afraid of your first re-hab session, told you it wasn't going to be fun but do remember yelling at re-hab helps! They told me to use ice after I got home from each session at first, and it did help. Lots of tylenol! But like I said little bvy little it gives you your hand ack.

Wow, that is wonderful that your grandson is doing so well at football. (It must be all those healthy vegatables that you are feeding him)! Grandchildren are such a joy. I am so glad that you and your wife had the space and enough love to take those sweet children in. I know one thing- they will get a good upbringing with you. (God works in mysterious ways).
