For riders that are in the Boise area, Cycle Gear next to the Yamaha dealer in Meridian has a great sale on all of their helmets. Don't know how long it will last but I got a new one yesterday for 50% off.

I wanted a color bright enough for the 'cagers' to see.

I'll give it a try this weekend. Got to drive the gas hog tomorrow; have to go to work then drive cross county to the next county to one of the other plants. Just don't have the time to drive the scoot that far.

You win the prize. I had received all kinds of comments saying I had a balance issue with it. Actually it's parked on an inclined driveway.

Congrats on the new little one. My three kids stopped at nine grandchildren for me and the wife. Range in age from 6-20; 5 girls, 4 boys.
Damn we must all be getting old!

The old scoot has been running great after the engine rebuild and new stator except for: Noticed that after I've stopped at an intersection the headlights noticeably dim. It only takes a few rpms for them to return to normal brightness. Should I increase my idle speed a bit or do I have more problems? Already checked for loose connections and/or grounds.

Below is the picture of my 2006 Tank shortly after I bought it. Still looks the same; no scratches or dings. When I posted my pic on Scootdawg back in 2006 several comments were made about something being wrong with the picture. Other than some old dawg members can anyone pick out what is wrong with the pic (if anything)? It does have a windshield now along with some flame graphics covering the horrendous 'Sunny'.

I just replaced the crank in my 150 Tank three weeks ago. It appears to be the right crank from looking at the drop-down menu. The 'socket' is what I used to remove the oil pump.

I have over 12,000 chinos on my Tank. oldputz and I bought our Tanks about two weeks apart. He rides his rain or shine all year(all city riding). I have an 18 mile 50mph commute each way so I don't ride (I quit for the winter) when the temp is below 38-40 degrees.

No Spark

Started digging around in my 60 year old brain and remembered some voltage readings I read on one of the first forums I joined six years ago. Put my meter leads across the two wires going to the coil and hit the starter. I was only getting 2.85 volts. Replaced the stator of which I actually had a spare and it started on the first crank. Been giving it a final test ride for the last couple of hours before I start riding to work again next week.
