For riders that are in the Boise area, Cycle Gear next to the Yamaha dealer in Meridian has a great sale on all of their helmets. Don't know how long it will last but I got a new one yesterday for 50% off.

I highly recommend scorpions if they have any (I got an exo 1000 for under 200 bucks from fleabay, deals on 'last years' helmets are great!), great performance for the price! Always try and make sure your helmet is snell or EC 22:05 rated. DOT ratings are a must, but by itself doesn;t mean much. It isn't an independent test and it is extremely basic compared to snell or EC. If you are considering buying a helmet check out sharp.direct.gov.uk/ , it is a comprehensive and independent test of the safety of helmets. calsci.com/motorcycleinfo/Helmets.html#Helmets Has great info!

That company sure has a lot to look at. Only for me I prefer LeatherUp for one reason only. It is closer to my near empty wallet. i make no comments on quality or availability, but my wallet cares about prices.
Thanks for the link. There may be something I like and can afford on there some day. .
