He ended up listing this on eBay. I saw the scoot and immediately emailed him at the time. Wonder what it sold for - it was a first rate build.

I painted my muffler with paint meant for a grill based on recommendations I received here, and it worked out well. Good luck.

I spoke with the guy yesterday. I offered $600 in light of the title and parts issues. He said he might come down to around $800 but now his wife wanted him to keep it. I told him he was lucky to have a wife like that!

What looks to be a great project is on my local craigslist. This well worn but working Fuji Rabbit S601: Here's the listing: newjersey.craigslist.org/mcy/4459613392.htmlI invested a half hour of research, and these seem to have value in excess of the $1,000 they're asking. What I did not find was any source for parts. Just thought I'd pass this little piece of history along.

I got the exhaust on Friday and here it is. There was no headpipe to take off because it fell off. The gasket was still in there, but it was a deformed, crushed mess. At the same time I ordered the exhaust I ordered a gasket, which was a nice copper solid one. Should last. I got the wrong size in the mail (need to be O.D. 38-39mm) but mine came as a 41mm. Rather then return it I ground it down with my dremel. Easy enough. So here is the beautiful Dragon Custom Double Shot: As you'll see, it only uses the two bottom mounts. The top bracket is not to be used, even says so in the instructions. I believe it is for the air intake which i'm not using. Note that the left bracket has blood on it. It wouldn't be a trailheadmike special without some blood. The kit comes with silencers to attach to the exhaust tips. I put them in because this thing is LOUD. Finally, here's where it attaches in case anyone cares: These are sold on eBay and he has them for our Linhai 257cc's and 150s. He also has a single shot. Great mod.

I'll answer my own thread - I just bought the Dragon Double Shot. I put in a bid of $125 on ebay and it was accepted, so for about $30 more than the pipe the whole kit comes. These went for over $350 at one point. Can't wait. I'll post a pic and some sound when its done.

I've also had the mystery rear wheel wobble. Everything was tight but there was a little extra room on the axle that was not taken up by the spacer sleeve. I ultimately solved it by putting a washer between the wheel and the spacer sleeve. It took up 95% of the gap and now I ride much more steadily. I have extra washers and can mail you one (if I can find them) if you want. Let me know. Here is my sloppy wheel thread: thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/thread/3349/sort-solved-sloppy-rear-wheel

I'm thinking of taking the cover off - if yours is off could you post a pic? I'm wondering what it'll look like.

I saw that video when I was researching how to do the change and I could not get my 856 off that way, but could get the 871. I'll try it again with someone helping me. Thanks for posting.

Thanks for your insight as always. I'll open her back up this weekend and have a look.
The biggest advantage of the 871 that I see is that I can get it off without taking off the variator. That makes it key for on-road repairs where you don't have an impact wrench.

here's a new one for me. I recently replaced my rollers with sliders and put in a longer belt (871 in place of the 859) on my Linhai clone. The belt's been in for about 100 miles now. When I get up to about 55mph I get a very high vibration in my seat like a massager you see in the mall. Its so fast it almost tickles. I know its not the wheel. As soon as I come off the throttle even a drop and lower the rpm it stops instantly. The other odd thing is that the belt makes a flop sound at idle. From what I can read I think its called "belt slap." Think it will go away? Bad belt? Any insight appreciated as always.

I don't own one but I love to read about these. Its an automoto, but also known as a Vogue, a Scooterpod and Diamo Velux. The Diamo was made as a convertible with a retractable roof. Put these names together in a google search and you'll get posts from the old scootdawg site as well as discussions from other forums. Automoto also has a facebook page and there are some people who post regularly there that you might be able to contact. good luck.

When I last wrote I found that the splines in the rear wheel on the Vog 260 had worn down to nothing such that the splines on the axle were spinning freely within the wheel and producing no movement. I misdiagnosed it as a broken belt so ordered some new parts before actually opening up the scooter to examine the parts. Even though it turned out not to be the belt, at 10,000 miles I figured it was a good time to install some new parts anyway. My go-to parts supplier for this scooter, BMS, looks like its not stocking anything anymore, so I thought I'd post what I bought and where because all parts were not that easy to find. Ultimately scrappy was the way to go, but I didn't want to start there because I have gotten wrong parts in the past from them.
Rear Wheel - This was the hardest because it is not a standard 3.50x13. BMS was out, and could not find this at any of our vendors, so I finally found it at a place that charged $120. That was around what BMS would have charged, but upon delivery I saw that they had sourced it from Alchemy, aka scrappy, and scrappy sells it for $70. Get the rim from scrappy.
Opening the case - As I put in another thread, if you have this scooter there are 11 bolts, one of which is in the middle of the case. I missed the bolt in the middle because it was hidden by a piece of glued on foam so I ended up cracking the cover trying to pry it off. remember - 11 bolts!!!
Sliders - Anticipating opening the case I bought 14g Dr Pulley sliders. Our own Tvnacman hooked me up at a great price and you can so feel the difference on take off!! Great upgrade. The rollers (also 14g) pretty much all had flat spots.
Belt - Many of the Vogs have 856s, as did mine, but time was they came with an 871 so I wanted to try it. 871s no longer exist from Bando or Gates (I checked with the manufacturers - if you see an 871 from them on ebay its a fake) and I ultimately sourced it from scrappy too. He advertised it as a Mitsuboshi, which would have been great, but it came as a generic Chinese belt which pissed me off. He did take $5 off the price, and there was not much to be done about it.
Continued good health and good riding to all.
