Hi scooterer, I have mc-54-250b roketa scooter which has over 13,000mile and my CVT belt is still in good shape, when you were working in the CVT area did you inspect your belt, (that's the time to get those numbers off the belt before something happens) is there any cracking, does it look worn?

If you don't have the rights tools, it would be better to take the tire to a scooter shop

I had a front bearing go on me, the first thing I notice was the scraping sound and a thumping sound like my tire was going flat, I think to may have some clutch or roller weights issue, did the variator go on without any problems? If you put scoot on center-stand, start scoot up and let run, how does it sound? Is there any scraping sound?

Hey when putting that variator back on make sure your roller weights are in place, then keep it squeezed together until you have it all the way on the boss shaft, if not the weights can come out of place. You will know as soon as you start scoot, just wanted to give you a heads up

Hey newscooterer, that wobbly between the calipers may be a loose axle bolt. Check that axle bolt, they are known to work loose.

I agree jct842, I have air impact wrench and never had trouble taking the nut off, I only used the breaker bar once and I damaged my v-fan, never again.

I know you can use a breaker bar, (but you have to be careful you don't break any of the fins off the v-fan) I use a air impact wrench and have no trouble getting those nuts off, did you soak them with WD40? Do you have a torch? you could heat the nut up and the use the impact wrench.

Try short burst with the impact wrench, hold for 3 seconds at a time, someone may of put loc-tite on those threads (I always put some WD40 on the nut first)

That impact wrench should take the variator nut right off, then you can remove the variator fan, then belt, and you should be able to slide the variator off the shaft. do you have the impact wrench set on counter-clockwise?
