GREAT!! Not only that but now that you have them off they will come off with just a few hits with the IMPACT WRENCH(that you bought). Do not put any loctite crap on them(HEHE). I have taken mine off about a hundred times I play a lot with my CVT, weights, variators, belts, clutchs.
For XMAS My Sons got me the DR2 Variator and a new Clutch from KIDAND ME and will try it with the different ramps in the Variator for Light and Heavier weights. I will be making a report on the DR2 VARIATOR and good or bad. The clutch has the red springs which are rated at 2000 which I will change out I do not like high RPMS just for the TRIKE to move. Right now it starts to move right around 2000-2300 rpms with the Performance NCY Clutch and Bell which I like. But I will save the New Clutch for later I like the NCY Clutch I have on there now. Yes, before you put the belt on SQUEEZE the CLUTCH PULLEY and PUSH the BELT DOWN into the CLUTCH PULLEY all you need is about 1/2 of slack. Then Put the belt on the boss put the Variator on and squeeze the belt a little between the Variator and clutch to raise the BELT in the between the VARIATOR then push the VARIATOR FAN ONTO THE SPLINES of the shaft and make sure it is grabbing the SPLINES. Then PUT the nut on by hand snuge so the VARIATOR does not come off the SHAFT SPLINeS then hit it with 3-1 second hits with the IMPACT WRENCH. Start the scooter and check to make sure everything is cool then give it a few REVS up and down to check that the NUT will not come loose.
WHAT probably happened is the VARIATOR was not on the SPLINES on the SHAFT.

Hey when putting that variator back on make sure your roller weights are in place, then keep it squeezed together until you have it all the way on the boss shaft, if not the weights can come out of place. You will know as soon as you start scoot, just wanted to give you a heads up
