Had a friend in Broken Bow Oklahoma tell me it is $1.12 there. Went to granddaughters softball practice yesterday and got it for $1.38! Still going down!

I'm serious fflintstone We used to keep gas in one of the above storage tanks with the old hand pumps on it, remember them? I've got a cool place in my shed to put the barrels up off the ground on blocks and as long as you can keep the barrels sealed tight the gas will hold up for quite awhile. Sides I was going to do it for mowing and tilling the garden plus my boat. I use a lot of gas mowing 5 acres each year!

Got it for $1.42 with my card at Wally World yesterday. They say it's going to go down to $0.99, if so I'm filling up some 55 gallon drums I swear!

rayg You've got poor ground, a bad connection from the battery to the solenoid or from the solenoid to the starter or a starter solenoid relay going out. JR

mar600 I still believe you have a stopped up main jet. I'm looking for the specs/manual on this scooter and I'll get back to you on it. Had a exact same problem once and found the main jet partially clogged. Time to give it a good cleaning. I'll get back. JR

One can pull it off and soak it in penetrating oil and then lube it if it starts moving again, Your best bet is to get a new one, but you can unhook the cable and leave the carb in the idle mode, it will not keep it from firing. Yes you need to find out why the needle is not sealing off and keeping the gas from overflowing the carb.
I still did not hear mention of you checking the reed valve?

Again when you pull the carb inspect the reed valve. If it is the least letting compression go by it'll never run.

Good videos in the video section on cleaning it. Pull the plug and squirt a touch of gas in it and then put the plug back in and see if it'll even fire. a good blue spark also means we wired the key switch in right.

Injection systems been completely removed I'd have to order a whole new one. Put some premixed in the tank, spark plugs good, the little gas valve switch thing set to on, kill switch on run, still won't start up. According to some of the things I've read I need three things to get it to start, gas spark and compression. Haven't done anything with compression so maybe that's the culprit? Just thinking/looking at the spark plug isn't the way to know if it's good? When I say check for spark I mean pull the plug and do it like in these videos. Sparkplug can be good and the coil and or CDI be bad? Only way to know is to visually see the spark plug sparking with the engine being turned over. thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/thread/4167/electrical-check-spark-tester-methodThis is correct and if I was guessing on the premix I would say 50:1? As far as compression on a 2 stroke one can have bad rings or a bad reed valve. thescooterprofessor.proboards.com/thread/1353/carb-reed-valve-works-replaceOne simple way to test for engine compression is to pull the plug and put your thumb over the spark plug hole and turn the engine over. If it tries to blow your thumb off that's a good sign. JR

When you say turn over are you saying trying to start? If so I'm sure it's not going to hit a lick without good clean fresh gas? also if it's leaking you need to fix that. Again pull the spark plug out to see if it is sparking, remember key on and engine kill switch to Run position or no spark.
