Hi all,
I'm in desperate need of a voltage regulator for my 2012 efi tbx 260. 3 plugs with 6 wires. Bms is back ordered 3-4 weeks and i can't find it anywhere. Took it on vacation and now can't ride. I found a place that works on them but we can't get the part. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would pay to have it fedexed if i can find it.
Thx

OregonMotorcycleParts is great on R/R's -- a bit pricey, but the products are head and shoulders better than most you'll find on line. I speak from experience.

And I second ellpee's vote for the regulator. Mine was factory and not working well at all. I now have one of those ellpee suggested to try. It works fine and controls at a bit higher level so I no longer need to keep buying batteries for my scoot. If nothing else you will be OK if you spec it correctly when you order.

Are you having any luck? BMS told me today it will be another four weeks for a BMS EFI 260cc voltage regulator. Unbelievable.

Jr is on it,,but cut and splice the new reg,,that way if it happens again and you get a direct replacement you can just plug it in and not have to mess with the bikes wiring

Ellpee and Bobf, I've taken your advice. I've contacted Oregon motorcycle parts and received a reply from Tony. He is experienced with that model and thinks that he may be able to help me out. I will keep you posted.

Not sure if it would be same but the red wire would go to red, the green to green (ground) and the white would or should tie into the black. That would be the way I think it should be.

tvnacman.blogspot.com/You need to trace the red and see where it goes, I have asked this before. The questions are very important to protect your scooter and the different regulator from damage.

BMS is giving all of us a line of BS. This is been going on now for at least two months. Someone needs to put some pressure on them to tell the truth. I still don't have a proper regulator!

I'm working with Oregon motorcycles to get one. The first one was not correct, but he promised to work with me to get it right. So I sent him my old one, so that he could see exactly what I needed. If he gets the one that I need, I'll let you know.

I think you're going the right route. He seems to bend over backwards to meet the customer's needs.

Well, I got my new regulator and all seems good so far. It was too late and dark last night when we got it installed to do anymore testing. But as soon as I started up the scoot my lights worked and were brighter than ever and no longer flickered. There was no dimming of lights when I squeezed the brake handle which was the sure test for me. Before they would go so dim, you would not even know they were on before the new regulator. I will pick up a new multimeter tonight for the final test. But I think it's safe to say oregonmotorcycleparts.com saved the riding season for me. Here are my lights with the new regulator.
