Well JR the demon is still there but not as bad as before, around 60mph and up I'm getting a intermiting jerk or hiccup but my scoot is not stalling out. Here is what I've done so far thinking it might be electric, cleaned and use Dielectric grease on my CDI, ignition coil, going from spark plug cap, cap to spark plug, the two wires going into ignition coil, fuse at battery, and still hiccup or jecking at around 60mph. What could it be Trying to enjoy my ride

Not too long ago changed all vacuum lines, fuel lines, new fuel filter, (I know I move fuel filter, but it did same thing before I moved it) replace CDI, ignition coil, fuel pump, cleaned carb, about the only place i didn't take a part when cleaning carb was the ACV valve and spring area, do you think it could be a loose ground somewhere

Took off my terminal connector on the negative post, (cleaned and put dielectric grease on it and went to work and had no jerking or hiccup, coming home it started again, what is funny when it starts jerking if increase the throttle it goes away and going down hill if i let off throttle it will start but if hold throttle steady and not back off it seems to smooth out, Barnie was saying he think it is in my CVT area, I know I'm experiencing very rough idle at stops, seem to be engaged.

After you ride it and get it nice and hot, put it on the center stan and if your REAR WHEEL is spinning it is either idling to high or the clutch is engaged.
If the rear wheel is NOT spinning after getting it hot then I think it is one of two things. Now since you said if you increase the throttle it goes away it could be fuel delivery problem at a certain rpms. It could be the transition from mid-range to getting it to having the needle fully raised. IN this case you should raise the needle 1 notch to give it more fuel.
The other would be your CVT your clutch is slipping or your weights are in the Variator are sticking. Alleyoop

Hi Alleyoop, I'll check out the idle to make sure the back wheel isn't moving, I do have my needle at the last notch (richest) Talking about the CVT area, Barnie thinks it could be the belt, bought scoot with 2,000 miles, now almost 16,000 miles, but the last time I had the CVT off belt looked good, if the clutch is slipping, what could cause that? I can check the roller weights too. If you remember I did replace the main torque spring in clutch, wonder if I should replace the clutch pad springs?

Here is what I've done so far, warmed up scoot, took several turns to get Idle down for wheel to stop, rpm's around 1600. Though this process the idle kept going high like the enricher was kicking on. turning idle and reving throttle the rpm's would jump up. (It wouldn't be a bad idea to check those roller weights).

If the RPMS RISE on you in other words what I call bouncing from idle to high, IT IS LEAN, richen the fuel ratio a little COUNTER CLOCKWISE. You should be able to give the thottle a quick twist the RPMS SHOULD climb nice and fast and COME DOWN quick to idle.
If the RPMS ARE SLOW to drop it is LEAN. If the RPMS drop and drop below your idle and wants to die your RICH. Alleyoop

Here is cover off cvt and belt seem loose, can squeeze belt just about together. Also after adjusting idle went out and started it and the rpm's were low, had to adjust them higher. Right now a/f is 2 1/2 turns out. Attachments:

Your right the belt looks like it is a little loose sitting there. What size belt do you have on there. Maybe you should go down one size. lleyoop

It's a 856-23-30, (BTW Happy 4th I appreciate your service for our country) Do you think the clutch is engaged or you think my belt is ready to replace it, would that cause the jerking while driving? I think JR said the 871-23-30 would give me better top end.
If you look at it it seems that the varaitor all the way open, is that normal, I can get pic of it.

856= 33.3/4 inchs in length
871= 34.1/4 inchs in length
So a 871 is 1/2 longer belt and your 856 is already looks loose!! So a 871 would be really loose and I think you will loose top end. Alleyoop
