How y'all are! Enjoyed 100 mile run yesterday, did not care for the 20 minutes of rain, scoot ran great! Looking at the light filters on the vaiator cover, the wasp down here will chew up and make Dirt dobber nest! Plan on using stainless steel mesh to cover all openings, will have to use vinyl Caulking to anchor in place & inspect regularly. I've had to this to a generator already. Have apx. 380 miles on scooter. Y'all take care.

Hi y'all are! Replaced cracked variator , with a upgrade, but it had 13oz rollers, WTH, tried it. Tops out at 65, not 70 I had before, seems smother, I believe I'll put back the original rollers, For a while. The RPMs where a 1000 higher than normal. This is a KNM product, I liked the service, And help videos. The lid on the trunk box rattles a lot! Is there a sealing, weather-proof gasket for The box? I have it bolted down good with 1/4" rubber sandwiched between the cross bars, top & Bottom.

Hi Rich, changing out roller weights with a different weight will change the RPM's, all depend on how many grams.

Regarding the trunk lid, I messed with that problem for some time, and the best fix I came up with was some ?3/8"? fuel hose. I cut a slit in it, slipped it over the lower edge of the lid closure, and tacked it in place every few inches with a drop of Gorilla Glue. That cut out most of the lid rattle. I still had lots of trunk rattle overall, though, that I ultimately fixed by cutting some of the spongy styrofoam stuff and putting it underneath the rear fender plastic, between those panels and the metal frame and bracket. (The third fastening point for the luggage rack.) Before that, no matter what I tried, there was still some plastic-on-metal rattling coming from that area; afterward, little to none.

Thank you, I was in the process of trying a split hose, it is the lid. I mounted the box with 1/4" rubber, sand witched between two solid bars of aluminum, this made a very solid base with mounting contact area increased by 3/4"x 5" . I also drilled the holes thru the bars and rubber with 4 5/16" holes matching box mounting holes, also hoping the hose will weatherproof the box and lid. Also used blue loctight on all threads.

Okay, two different roads to Rome. Your tubing is on the lid, mine's on the bottom edge. Don't see why either won't work, other than law of gravity when it's on the lid might require a little more adhesive in the tubing. Good luck.

Please understand, I have placed the hose on the inside, trunk, same as yours. It's the base I used 3/8"x 3/8"x 5" alum bars, with heavy 1/4"x1/2" rubber strip sandwiched in between. The same as yours, just user firm, hard rubber 1/2" wide, inside & outside the trunk. The trunk is Solid, no shake, no rattle. The lid with one latch, rattling away. Thinking about out checking out hardware selves, and mounting one extra latch near each rear corner. Thanks I do welcome your ideas! Now went & bought two fisheye mirrors, and mounted on inside of bike mirrors, to better see the cages on the side & slightly behind me. Has any one ever paintballed those who follow too close!!! The rains have started agin, you'll have good rides, & keep up the help! Thank you

Hi you are, found some 1/4"x20' clear hose at Lowes. Used 72" cut down the middle, on inside of curve, worked on the trunk half. Seals great , no rattle. Just have to push in slightly at the latch to Close. Still don't understand how to post pictures? I'm still trying to post! I've read quite a few post, has helped to avoid some problems, coming up on my 1000 mile oil change and inspection. Do keep up the good work, thanks for all your help.

Thanks anyway, I'm using a IPAD . Just finished 1000 mile oil change, engine oil was dark, no Metal in screen. Rear end oil slightly milk, about color of coffee with creamer. Normally a white Milk, is water in oil. Will check in another 1000 miles, nuts & bolts all were tight. Have some Projects to do. Just need the time, started raining , when I finished the oil changes. You all Ride safe, & problem free.

11/22/13 did 2000 mile oil change, @ 2200 had speedometer cable problem, tried to get inside at the wheel, busted. After 2 tries finally got right one. Week later started having power (electrical )problems, still chasing down gremlins. 1/3/14 Upgraded coil & spark plug, nice tan color on old plug tip, have broken bracket on air cleaner. Making another bracket with 1/8"x1/2" alum bar stock.

"Power" as in engine power, or as in electric power? What kind of problems? I had that broken bracket thing on my 2011 Roketa, had to fabricate a replacement workaround.
